PROCESS & TEChNOLOGY CONSULTANCY
In all phases of the IT system lifecycle we offer extensive consulting services
for the analysis and optimisation of our customers’ value creation and business
processes. We also make it possible to keep pace with technological
advancements by advising on the assessment of the potential, maturity and
possible application of new information and communication technologies. With
our numerous project management services – from project controlling through
risk management to quality assurance – we advise and support our customers
in the management of large IT and technology projects. We thus ensure that
projects are realised efficiently.

SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT & SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Independent with regard to hardware and manufacturers, we develop and integrate
customer-specific solutions. Our particular concern are smooth data exchange
and clear, user-friendly communication. We think in complete systems
in a networked environment and thus ensure the sustainability of our solutions
in our customers’ environment. The technologies, processes and operational
use are all taken into account equally within an overall architecture.
Analysis and Design: We analyse requirements and possible applications
and carry out studies and feasibility analyses. The results are then taken into
account in our conceptual ideas. Furthermore we develop IT concepts and
strategies for the implementation and migration of IT systems. These services
form the basis of our application and system development.
Implementation and Integration: We design and develop prototypes and
demonstrators, which provide a significant foundation for successfully bringing
the system into production. With our particular competences in complete system
integration of hardware and software, we integrate the solutions seamlessly
into the existing system landscape and also implement large-scale projects.
Services and Support: We offer complete support services right until the
end of a system’s use. During system implementation we provide documentation
systems and carry out training. During the operational phase we provide
software and system maintenance and modification and can operate
entire systems.

INTELLIGENCE
The aim of public authority and military intelligence is to gather and evaluate
information on relevant areas of interest, objects and structures and make it
available to the users depending on the situation, and job-oriented in a timely
form, appropriate to level and requirements. The technical challenge lies in the
evaluation across sources i.e. finding relevant and high-quality information in
a multitude of different information sources. Only with modern and efficient
information management can “Actionable Intelligence” be extracted from the
abundance of data.
For many years we have been developing customer-specific IT systems for
Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Open
Source Intelligence (OSINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) and Geospatial Intelligence
(GEOINT). We fulfil all requirements necessary to handle our customers’
sensitive projects and have at our disposal an extensive pool of securitychecked
specialists.
GEO-IT
The processing and preparation of geospatial information are essential prerequisites
for making and implementing decisions efficiently, in particular in
the area of situational control for military applications or in civil protection. We
have extensive knowhow and experience in the design and realisation of various
Geo-IT solutions.
We offer, for example, archiving, management and information systems for
image, vector, raster, matrix, meteorological and simulation data (GeoBroker ® )
and geospatial data infrastructures with Web portals, Web services and Web
applications. Our software and workflows are used for the generation of terrain
databases for simulation and mission planning systems, for automated image
evaluation and object extraction from aerial and satellite images as well as for
GIS-based tactical and operational situation display. We also integrate GIS and
ERP components (e.g. SAP R/3).

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IS ThE BASIS FOR DECISIONS ......
COMMAND, CONTROL & OPERATIONS
Much diverse information is needed in order for decision makers to make the
right decision at the right point in time and thus be able to give clear instructions.
With our sensor-to-shooter expertise we cover the entire chain of network-enabled
capabilities: from concept development and experimentation
through simulation to deployment.
ESG plans, develops and integrates high-performance command, control, information
and deployment systems for all branches of the armed forces. These
systems prepare information in such a way that effective and rational decisions
can be made. With integrated, process-oriented information management, current
and extensive information is made available at the appropriate levels. Networking
these systems between decision-making or command levels allows
coordination of all procedures and increases effectiveness. Taking account of
joint and combined operations, the interoperability of our solutions with other
systems is assured.

processes through the preparation, evaluation and
management of data and information.

EUROSUR: We carried out a technical study for the development of concepts
for a border surveillance infrastructure, a secure communication network
and a pre-frontier intelligence picture within the framework of a European
border surveillance system.
GeoBroker ® : We have developed an efficient system for geospatial data
management that is in operational use at the Bundeswehr Geoinformation
Office (as “ZARA”) and other public authorities.
FüInfoSysSK: We are main contractor for the first further development stage
of the Joint Command, Control & Information System of the German Armed
Forces.
ADLER II/DVA II: Our C2 and weapon deployment systems contribute significantly
to Joint Fire Support.

AIS „Automatic Identification System”: To improve the security of shipping
traffic, we are responsible for the development, entire integration and launch
of the AIS system along the German coast.
CHARLY: Our multimedia training platform provides preventive, preparatory,
psychosocial emergency care for mission and rescue forces.
EPC: Our external project controlling and risk management supports the introduction
of digital police radio in Bavaria.
SAP: For many years we have provided consultancy and implementation
support for the rollout of SAP in the German Armed Forces (Programme
SASPF).
N-CORE NG: Our software solution for the cataloguing of military material is
in use in numerous countries worldwide.

PROCESS OPTIMISATION ENSURES SUCCESS
SECURITY & CRISIS MANAGEMENT
The demands on military, police and civil management and mission forces are
increasing. These include the threat of international terrorism and organised
crime, and major damaging events caused for example by natural catastrophes,
technical breakdowns or terrorist attacks. Comprehensive information
as a basis for situation processing and assessment plays an important role in
such events. Our tailored solutions provide support in various areas of public
security e.g. for border management and site protection.
It is important for civil and military operations that the mission forces are well
schooled and know what awaits them: Well trained staff contribute significantly
to safety and security during a mission. Within our system development projects
we carry out briefings and training for the users. We furthermore design
and develop special training platforms for customers in the military and emergency
services.

PUBLIC IT MANAGEMENT
Economisation and modernisation endeavours make a holistic IT strategy as
an integral part of public administration essential. These measures must be
implemented with the help of innovative and integrated information and communication
technologies.
As well as carrying out process analyses and identifying and evaluating improvement
potential, we advise and support our customers in adapting their
operational and organisational IT structures. Our consulting services help to
create and achieve more efficient processes and structures adapted to requirements,
thus resulting in increased capacity and cost effectiveness. As an
independent technology and process partner we support our customers during
the implementation of large-scale IT technology projects, using all components
of the procedure model V-Modell ® XT and our proven ESG project controlling
and riskmanagement. We complete our portfolio with comprehensive IT security
consulting.
LOGISTICS
Nowadays, the efficient logistics of complex, technical equipment and systems
is no longer imaginable without modern information and communication systems
for securing an optimal supply chain. The increasing division of labour,
with which the high-level availability of this technical equipment in use is ensured,
can only be controlled through e-business between maintenance and
repair personnel and users.
ESG plans, designs and develops logistic information systems according to
customer-specific requirements. These solutions cover all integrated logistic
functions through all phases of the lifecycle of a technical system, such as
material support, maintenance, repair, replacement parts and repair documentation
as well as material management information.
