What’s Cooking Chef Meeker? March is here and the dining rooms are preparing for Spring! New features and spring flavors are starting to fill our shelves; asparagus, fresh morels and fresh Alaskan Halibut. Join Judd in the Loch Bar as there will be great features along with lots of “March Madness” fun. Baseball is just around the corner! The banquet kitchen is preparing for our Member March events; Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Easter and Mothers Day too. Bob North and his staff are excited for you to enjoy their spectacular buffets! Book your reservations for the best tables or private rooms today! One more thing….don’t forget to join me for my annual cigar smoker in the Powerhouse on March 8th! You can look forward to a great time and a lot of fun! Black Heath Join us on Friday, March 16th as Celebrity Maitre d’s Ernie & Melody Blood and Tim & Tiffany Barta host “Blue Jean Night” in the Black Heath - a true dress down Friday evening. So get those new jeans ready and take advantage of this once a year event in the Black Heath. A special menu designed by Chef Meeker will be available as well as the Black Heath menu. Speaking of Celebrity Maitre d’s… Anyone wishing to host a Celebrity Maitre d’ event in the Black Heath this year, please contact Randy. We have a great time and it’s a great way to connect with other Members! Please note the new insert that is in all of the menus (Scot’s Grille, Loch Bar and Black Heath) promoting Special Member Events for the month as well as highlighting the specialty beverages the Club is offering for the month. Definitely a lot of great events and libations! Stay tuned for all of the great things we will be doing in Food and Beverage during the course of this year to celebrate Glenmoor’s 20th Anniversary Year! Team Member of the Month Did you know? We do outside catering at Glenmoor, big and small events. Our resume includes Jerry Rice’s Hall of Fame Party, Angel Auction, Akron Air Dock for the Historical Railroad for 800 and many other events. So if you have a group or event and you never thought we could do it, call me personally and let’s talk about making your event a Glenmoor event. Loch Bar Ugly Sweater Contest in the Loch Bar Friday, March 2nd from 6:00 - 10:00pm Wear your favorite ugly sweater as we will vote for the most outrageous outfit. Feel free to join in the “Unravel the sweater” race too. All participants will recieve a $10 coupon off food purchases and $1 off our “Ugly” drink specials all night long! Coyote Ugly Night in the Loch Bar Saturday, March 10th at 6:30pm Join Celebrity Bartenders from the Spa at Glenmoor as we watch Coyote Ugly on the big screen starting at 7:00pm. Spring Fling Wine List Inventory Sale Thursday, March 15th in the Gallery from 3-6pm St. Patrick’s Day Party in the Loch Bar Saturday, March 17th Let your Irish eyes smile all night long in the Loch Bar as we feature traditional Irish fare, music from the Emerald Island, Apple Martinis & Guiness Beer. Congratulations to Glenmoor’s newest Team Member of the month, Mike Warwick. Mike has been working in Building Maintenance since 2006 where he is a huge asset to the department. He is a hard worker and can be seen around the Club helping out wherever is needed. He loves spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
