TEACHING EXPERIENCES:<br />

1980 – 1981 Teaching various applied mathematics subjects at under-graduate<br />

level for students attending engineering courses at UTM.<br />

1983 - 1987 Teaching various pure and applied mathematics subjects at undergraduate<br />

level for students attending teacher education courses at<br />

UTM.<br />

1983-1986 Teaching various pure mathematics subjects for students attending<br />

Foundation Courses (A-Level equivalence) at University of Malaya (as<br />

part-time lecturer).<br />

1989 Teaching Mathematics for Industrial Designers at Faculty of Education<br />

& Design, West London University (as an invited part- time lecturer).<br />

1990 - present a. Teaching various courses related to the teaching and learning of<br />

mathematics at secondary and tertiary level for both undergraduate<br />

and post-graduate programs. Areas of concentration are<br />

Diagnosis and Remedial in Mathematics, Teaching and Learning<br />

Models in Mathematics, General Mathematics Education and<br />

Computer in Mathematics Education.<br />

b. Teaching various courses related to research methodology and its<br />

implementation at post-graduate level (Research Methods in<br />

Education and Social Sciences, Statistics in Educational<br />

Research, Quantitative Data Analysis Using Computer<br />

Packages).<br />

c. Teaching various courses designated for engineering educators<br />

pursuing doctoral degree in Engineering Education.<br />

AREAS OF RESEARCH INTEREST:<br />

a. Teaching and Learning in Mathematics (at secondary and tertiary levels).<br />

b. Teaching with Technology (designing, developing, prototyping and evaluating<br />

educational courseware in mathematics T&L involving the conceptual development<br />

and underlying theories, instructional design and technical aspects of educational<br />

courseware/software, the optimization of educational courseware/software in the<br />

T&L of mathematics and mathematics-related subjects).<br />

c. T&L in Higher Education.<br />

d. Academic Leadership in Higher Education.<br />

e. Engineering Education.<br />
