Cable Design
Uni Tube Fiber Optic Cable - Steel wire Armor
Example
Application
Used in areas where mechanical impact on the installed cable is to be expected.
Reference: 100
Direct buried cable, Steel wire armoured
29-07 HB
Construction
Optical fibre : For fibre specification see optical characteristics.
Secondary coating : The secondary coating consists of a 'loose tube' made of thermoplastic
polyester. Each fibre is uniquely identified by a fibre colour and for fibre
counts above 12 fibres a coloured yarn is applied.
Gel compound : The tube is filled with a non-toxic and dermatological safe gel compound.
Core covering : The core is covered with a layer of swellable tape.
Armour : The armour consists of a steel wires, applied over the core covering.
Outer sheath : The cable sheath consists of polyethylene compound
C03e: General purpose enhanced SM fibre
ESMF: Low water-peak OS2 and OS1 fibre
General and application
Reference: 100
Direct buried cable, Steel wire armoured
29-07 HB
This enhanced Single mode fibre provides improved performance across the entire 1260 nm to 1625 nm wavelength
spectrum due to its low attenuation in 1383 nm the water-peak region.
