Mathematics<br />
During August the Australian Mathematics Awards were held at the school. From Years 7 to 12 there were 223<br />
students who sat for the test. There were some excellent results attained by the following students:<br />

Reply slips for students currently learning an instrument at <strong>CBC</strong> are now due, indicating their preferences for 2013.<br />

New Music Students Welcome!!<br />
If there are any families who are interested in their son joining the instrumental music program, please contact me via<br />
email shanem@cbcfremantle.wa.edu.au and I will send through the application form.<br />
Instruments that are available to study are:<br />
Voice<br />
Trumpet (College has an Instrument Hire Program for families)<br />
Saxophone (College has an Instrument Hire Program for families)<br />
Trombone (College has an Instrument Hire Program for families)<br />
Piano<br />
Guitar<br />
Bass Guitar<br />
Drums<br />
Cost: $960 for 32 lessons per year.<br />
There are many bands and ensembles which students are able to participate in once they are at the appropriate level of<br />
performance. There are many opportunities to represent <strong>CBC</strong> at Festivals, Performance Evenings and College Events.<br />
Students receive points for their respective House throughout the year and are able to use some of their performance<br />
to complete Service Hours.<br />
