� Find out what help and advice is available from Purple Door<br />

and attend sessions organised for job searching strategies,<br />

confidence building and support with application forms.<br />

� Collect your Graduate Employer Directories from Purple<br />

� Attend Employer Twilight evenings with employers <strong>of</strong>fering<br />

graduate opportunities and training schemes.<br />

� Attend the <strong>University</strong> Graduate Recruitment and Placement<br />

Fair in November for information on career opportunities,<br />

information to enhance your application and for possible<br />

graduate internships.<br />

Graduate Schemes � Graduate schemes open for applications. Make sure you<br />

check any deadlines for those you wish to apply for. Many<br />

have very early deadlines e.g. late September/October.<br />

Postgraduate study options � Research postgraduate study options. Most courses do not<br />

have deadlines - make contact with admissions tutors to<br />

check their specific requirements.<br />

� Explore funding – Resources available @ Purple Door and<br />

Student Finance.<br />

CV and cover letter<br />

� Review the impact <strong>of</strong> your CV – do you need more work<br />

experience? Find out about the volunteering and paid work<br />

options that would give your CV the edge.<br />

Application forms � Get help and feedback on your Application forms by booking<br />

an appointment with a careers adviser.<br />

Teacher Training � Explore the different routes available for getting into<br />

Teaching: Apply through GTTR or direct to schools<br />

depending on chosen route (ideally October/November for<br />
