Five possible initiatives <strong>to</strong> fill<br />
research gaps<br />
In the spirit of listening and learning, and building on the work by the international<br />
community <strong>to</strong> combat VAw—and with great thanks <strong>to</strong> the group of<br />
researchers who participated—five initiatives were identified <strong>to</strong> fill research<br />
gaps on VAw. This report presents those initiatives. Three focus on filling<br />
gaps in mapping VAw, and two look at ways <strong>to</strong> support reduction and prevention<br />
programming. Table 1 provides an overview of the possible initiatives in<br />
the order in which they are discussed below.<br />
