Brníčko castle ruins
Nature enthusiasts will fall in love with the Zábřeh region as it is ideal for hiking and cycling,
as well as learning about the locality on horseback. You can set out to the ruins of the castle at
Brníčko or to Aleš Valenta‘s Acrobat Park or visit the Zábřeh Museum to see the exhibition of the
Zábřeh native, adventurer and traveller Jan Eskymo Welzl.
Zábřeh
An exhibit in the town museum is dedicated to the best-known native of Zábřeh, J. E. Welzl (statue
near the station). Other points of interest include a fountain, the Plague Column, St. Bartholomew’s
Church with the parish museum, and the ancient town hall with the Tunklův dvorec Gallery.
Go-karts, off-road four-wheelers, and an outdoor swimming pool are available for active relaxation.
The town is the starting point for many interesting trips into the surrounding area. A new
educational trail will take you around the Moravian Sázava valley.
Skalička Chateau
The chateau is on a knoll rising above the railway station. You can get there by climbing a paved
path leading through the village of Rudolfov or simply drive from Zábřeh in the direction of Jestřebí.
The chateau lies in the middle of a small park in an originally separate village of the same
name, Skalička, which was incorporated into Zábřeh in the mid-20th century. During the season
the chateau offers regular tours and holds concerts, forums, exhibitions, and social events.
for educational and corporate activities. There are tennis courts, a football-tennis pitch, beach
volleyball, a climbing centre, and many opportunities for cycling and hiking.
