Keprník
Ramzovské Saddle has something for everyone: romantic walks in the countryside or hiking
along the ridge of the Hrubý Jeseník mountains, challenging uphill bike trails, or the unforgettable
experience of riding the chairlift to Šerák or riding the bobsleigh track. And for relaxation? Visit
the Kolštejn Relax Centre in Branná, with the Vital World wellness complex offering a range of
unconventional treatments!
Šerák – Keprník (1)
The national nature preserve Šerák – Keprník is the oldest in Moravia. It conceals a number of
rare plants, trees, and several large highland peat bogs. At Keprník (1,423 metres above sea level)
there are Alpine meadows with remarkable flora. From the Šerák Mountain (1,351 metres above
sea level; also accessible by chairlift) and Keprník Mountain you have a view of the entire Králický
Sněžník massif, the Jeseníky peaks, and the Rychlebské Mountains. Many hiking trails run through
here. The trail called “S Koprníčkem na výlet keprnickými horami” is also suitable for children.
By Funicular to Šerák (2, 4)
The funicular in Ramzová is the main means of transport to the northern ridge of the Jeseníky
Mountains, both in summer and winter. The lower section from Ramzová to Čerňava is 1,459 m
long and served by a four-seat chair lift, while the upper section between Čerňava and Šerák
is 1,810 m long, with two-seat chairs. The funicular takes visitors to the Šerák Mountain, from
where it is possible to hike or cross-country ski along the main ridge route of the Jeseníky over
Keprník, the Vřesová Well, the Červenohorské Saddle, the Švýcárna chalet, Praděd, Ovčárna, Vysoká
hole Mountain, Kamzičník, Ztracené Kameny and the Jelení Well up to the Skřítek Saddle. It
saves you time and energy by sparing you over 600 metres of vertical elevation from the Ramzová
Saddle to the main ridge. The Jiřího chalet below the Šerák peak welcomes tourists.
