Bhutan. The country’s national airline, Drukair, inaugurated its
route from Paro to destinations abroad via Lokpriya Gopinath
Bordoloi international airport in Guwahati on October 26.
Flights were operational from October 31. The 50-minute flight
to and from Assam would be an en-route stop for flights to and
from Bangkok.
Except for a proof of identity Bhutanese and Indians flying
to and from Bhutan need not have visas. The Air Bus A-319,
which operates fort nightly with a capacity of 114 passengers,
has 94 seats in the economy class and 20 in the business class.
This flight not only benefits the tourist, but also the country’s
