Friends <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Playhouse</strong> is a volunteer support group for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lewis</strong> <strong>Family</strong><br />

The RC Theatre Arts Academy provides opportunities for local residents <strong>to</strong> explore or<br />
enhance <strong>the</strong>ir knowledge and skills in acting, musical <strong>the</strong>atre, auditioning, make-up,<br />
costuming, <strong>the</strong>atre craft and technical <strong>the</strong>atre. Programs designed specifically for<br />
each age group (youth, teens and adults) are being <strong>of</strong>fered in a creative, encouraging<br />
environment with pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>the</strong>atre artists, teachers and direc<strong>to</strong>rs leading <strong>the</strong><br />

Over 150,000 children have been enthralled by a school performance at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lewis</strong> <strong>Family</strong><br />
<strong>Playhouse</strong>. With musicals and plays by our own MainStreet Theatre Company, our<br />
weekday matinees geared exclusively <strong>to</strong> school groups bring <strong>the</strong> performing arts <strong>to</strong> a<br />
new generation. School performances are supplemented with study guides that expand<br />
on <strong>the</strong> educational components found in each play, with suggestions<br />
for activities and discussions <strong>to</strong> take back <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> classroom. For more<br />
