According to the October 9, 1957 issue of the Nashville Banner, page 12, Joseph Baulch was buried at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery on 10/10/1957. He "died at 8pm Tuesday at his home following an illness of almost a
year." Mr. Baulch was employed by L&N Railroad on June 10, 1889 and retired from that employment on
June 19, 1950.

According to the January 27, 1954 issue of the Nashville Banner, page 2, Robert E. Baulch "died of a
self-inflicted head wound" at Mid-State Baptist Hospital. "The amusement company official shot himself at
his home on Hillsboro Road at 11:45am. ... Mr. Baulch's business associates and members of his family
were at a loss to explain his action. They said they had known for some time he was depressed, but did
not think it was a serious situation. Members of his family had tried to persuade him only as recently as
Tuesday morning to take a vacation to Florida." Mr. Baulch was a 1925 graduate of Vanderbilt University.
