Florida’s spectacular Naples coast. 

The astonishing splendor of 

Hyatt Vacation Club’s newest resort

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort

signature, 18-hole Raymond Floyddesigned 

Raptor Bay Golf Course. 

The course, which surrounds 

Coconut Plantation, is part of a

birds and even rare, protected

bald eagle and whooping crane.

FLOATING SPLIT WEEKS NOT AFFECTED 

If your club membership includes a Floating Split Week with 

your vacation purchase, you will continue to enjoy the same 

flexibility with reservations at your home resort you’ve always 

experienced with Hyatt Vacation Club. 

Simply make your Floating Split Week reservation, as usual, 

during the Home Resort Preference Period. For information, 

contact Member Services at 1-800-GO HYATT. 

For example, a three-night 

stay in a two-bedroom vacation 

condo during diamond season 

requires 1,320 points for a Split 

Week reservation, where available, 

at any HVC destination.

Club Points required to reserve a Split 

Week are subject to reasonable change 

by HVOI from time to time and without 

Club Member consent in the best interests

Step #1 Many members find that reserving 

their unit and week of purchase becomes a 

tradition. So each year they call during their 

Home Resort Preference Period (HRPP) to let 

us know they will be returning to their home 

resort on their week of purchase. Remember, 

while the HRPP window lets us hold your fixed 

week exclusively for you, HVC does not make 

the reservation for you. Your HRPP also 

expires six months prior to your fixed week. 

To make any other type of reservation, 

you will be converting your fixed week to points. 

In doing so, here are a few things to consider:

prior to your fixed week. And the HVC reservation system is so flexible, that if you cannot make plans that far out, you still have several 

options that allow you to reserve accommodations right up to the last minute.

DAY ONE 

Relax in the pool. Nothing

in a pool, yet feeling like you’re

palm trees or nap in the sun. You

DAY THREE 

Play on the water. If you dare,

speedsailing, riding waves and 

flying through the air for 10-feet or 

more. While you’re in a sporting 

mood, head back to the resort for 

a pickup game of beach volleyball, 

badminton or shuffleboard.

Learn about important historical 

figures who called Key West

the Bell Tolls and A Farewell to Arms. 

The Heritage House Museum and 

Robert Frost Cottage also offer 

antiques and gardens where 

visitors can enjoy recordings of 

Robert Frost’s poetry. 

DAY FIVE 

Enjoy the wildlife. Start your 

day with breakfast at Blue Heaven, 

729 Thomas St., one of the most 

casual restaurants anywhere.

coral reef in America and 

keeps the climate warm all year 

round. “Water is king here,” 

says Ted Bolstad, resort manager.

dolphins, sharks, spotted rays 

and tarpon, or even shipwrecks 

and coral reefs from above. On 

land, you can splash around in 

the moat surrounding the fort.

ideal for swimming, snorkeling, 

reef diving and exploring colorful 

sea life. Everyone will come back

tuna, kingfish, barracuda or monster 

shark. But even a small bonefish can 

provide a good fight for a novice 

fishermen. Even if you didn’t catch 

anything, you can still enjoy superb 

seafood at one of Old Town Key 

West’s classic eateries, Café 

Marquesa in the Marquesa Hotel, 

600 Fleming Street. The 50-seat 

restaurant, serving fine seafood and 

cuisine, has a theatre-kitchen set 

behind a trompe l’oeil wall of a 

kitchen scene.

OWNER SPOTLIGHT 

HVC flexibility lets the family come along 

ra and Fran Bash are no strangers to Puerto 

Rico. As 15-year veteran guests of Hyatt 

resorts on the island, they jumped at the 

opportunity to become owners at Hyatt Hacienda 

del Mar even before it opened, knowing that 

the flexibility offered by Hyatt Vacation Club 

and Hyatt’s hallmark service would perfectly 

accommodate their annual 

Christmastime family reunion. 

With four sons and daughters-in-law, 

plus lots of grandchildren, the Bashes’ 

extended family can take up quite a 

bit of space. They knew HVC would 

be a great way for the family to be 

together without having to book a 

whole wing of hotel rooms for the 

entire Bash Bunch, says Fran Bash. 

The Bashes purchased three 

weeks at Hacienda del Mar, but 

because of the flexibility of HVC’s 

points system, they have developed 

a unique way to allocate their vacation 

time. “We double up on our 

accommodations for Christmas week by trading 

our New Year’s week, and then get a week in the 

spring sometime, usually April,” says Fran Bash. 

While the Christmas week at Hacienda del Mar 

has become an etched-in-stone family tradition, 

the ability to trade points for stays has at other select 

Hyatt properties also has paid off for the Bashes. 

One year, they were able to trade their fixed week 

in the spring into The Hotel Exchange Program for 

a vacation for their sons. “The boys went out to 

California,” Fran Bash says. “They used our points 

to stay at the Hyatt Regency Palm Springs.” 

The idea of always having a set place for their 

family reunion was the key reason the Bashes 

chose to buy into HVC’s Hacienda del Mar. 

And their 15 years of memorable experiences 

at Hyatt resorts in Puerto Rico made their decision 

even easier. “We bought our unit from looking 

at a picture, and we love it,” Fran Bash says. 

“It’s our home away from home.” 

TOGETHER AGAIN: The Bash family Christmastime 

reunion at Hyatt Hacienda del Mar has become a tradition. 

In addition to HVC’s flexibility, the Bashes love 

the staff at Hacienda del Mar, who know the 

entire family by name, even their sons, and are 

always ready to offer their aid and expertise. 

“They are just forever present, willing to help,” 

says Fran Bash. “It’s constant luxury, but with 

the ambiance of family.” 

While they enjoy spending time with their 

family at HVC, the Bashes also have built strong 

relationships with fellow owners. “We’ve made 

friends who we call family as much as our own 

family,” she says. “It’s warm and friendly, and 

everyone knows everyone else.”
