A. General<br />

1. Use of U.S. Grade and/or PUFI marks or statement(s) is acceptable on products<br />

processed from imported raw material.<br />

2. Use of the statement "Product of U.S.A." or "Product of the U.S." is acceptable IF<br />

the product is processed from domestically harvested raw material.<br />

3. Use of the statement "Processed in the U.S." or "Processed in the U.S.A." is<br />

acceptable on products processed from domestic and imported raw material.<br />

B. Marking Options - The marking requirements may be satisfied through:<br />

1. the use of permanently printed labels bearing the specific country or countries of<br />

origin,<br />

2. the stamping of the country or countries of origin in a blank area of the permanent<br />

printed label, or<br />

3. some other equally permanent method (for example, the use of a sticker identifying<br />

the country or countries of origin affixed to the printed label. If paper stickers or<br />

pressure sensitive labels are used, they must be affixed in a conspicuous place and be<br />

so secure that unless deliberately removed they will remain on the article while it is in<br />

storage or on display and until it is delivered to the ultimate purchaser.)<br />

C. Specific Product Labels<br />

1. Raw peeled and P&D shrimp processed from imported raw material:<br />

a. must bear country(ies)-of-origin statement. Identification of more than one<br />

country of origin is appropriate in the statement provided that the lot of product<br />

in fact is composed of the countries identified (e.g., "Product of China, Ecuador,<br />

and Thailand").<br />

b. must NOT bear "Product of U.S.A." or "Product of U.S." statement. May bear<br />

"Processed in U.S.A." or "Processed in the U.S." statement.<br />

c. may bear U.S. Grade and/or PUFI mark(s).<br />

2. All other shrimp and fishery products processed from imported raw material:<br />
