SAINT PASCAL CONFERENCE
Having celebrated Christmas, we now
celebrate the feast of the Holy Family and
reflect on how much our families are like
that of Joseph, Mary and Jesus. We worship,
we pray, we work, we worry, we celebrate the important
days in our family’s life, and we face hardships. Because
of all this, we love and care for each other as family,
whether it be our household or our parish family. We are
as dependent on each other as we are on God’s mercy and
compassion. This Christmas many of our parish families
prayed grace over a delicious and nutritious meal supplied
by your love and generosity. You reminded them that they
are not alone and are loved. You made their Christmas special.
Also, next weekend we will collect food to replenish
our parish pantry. Please make it your mission during the
year to bring at least one item of non-perishable food with
you to Mass the first weekend of every
month. We’re counting on you to keep the
parish pantry supplied with enough food for all
of those who come to our parish door in need
of help.

�� Resurrection College Prep High School invites eighth
grade girls to take the Class of 2017 Entrance Exam on
Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 7:45 am to 12:30 pm.
No pre-registration is necessary – students should bring
#2 pencils and a $25 testing fee (calculators will not be
allowed). Lunch will be provided following the exam.

�� Notre Dame College Prep’s Placement Exam is Saturday,
January 12, 2013 @ 8AM
Notre Dame College Prep, located at 7655 West Dempster
in Niles, will hold its placement exam for eighth graders.
Students should bring two #2 pencils. There is a $25 testing
fee– payable by cash or check.
There is no pre-registration. Registration begins in the Library
starting at 7:15am prior to the test. For more information,
please contact Mrs. Bontempo at 847-779-8615.
The 2013 Mass Book is Open
Anyone wishing to have Masses said may request one
Sunday Mass and three weekday Masses at a time. Each
Mass intention may include 2 names, e.g., Mr. & Mrs.
Smith or John Doe & Mary Jones.
O’Little Town of Bethlehem
Once again Fr. Dore’s collection of crèches
from various countries of the world are on
display for the Christmas Season. The display
gives the message that the coming of Jesus is a gift
to all cultures of the world. Please spend a moment or two
to view them & perhaps deepen your awareness of how
the Christmas event is truly worldwide.
