General Auction Rules
1. Bidder identification: Each couple/guest has a pre-registered number on
their bidding “paddle,” which must be used for bidding.
2. All sales are final. Items are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or
returned unless specified. If two bidders are in disagreement, the Auction
Coordinator will accept sealed bids from each, with the highest bidder
winning.
3. Value of items auctioned are donor’s estimates and are not warranted by
Blanchet Auction for tax purposes or general use.
4. Blanchet has endeavored to catalog and describe the property correctly,
but all property is sold “as is” and Blanchet neither warrants nor
represents, and in no way will be held responsible for, the correctness of
a description, genuineness, authorship, or condition of items presented.
No statement contained in the catalog, or made orally at the auction or
elsewhere, will be deemed as warranty representation or assumption of
liability.
5. The Auction Committee reserves the right to change, add to or remove
from the auction any items, even though the same may have been
previously advertised, cataloged, or verbally indicated as being auctioned.
6. Services and non-tangible items (gift certificates): Please review
certificates as soon as possible for stipulations and exceptions. Please pay
attention to all conditions, restrictions and expiration dates. All auction
items and services must be used within one year after October 13, 2012,
unless otherwise noted by the donor.
7. Condominium and vacation home conditions: Arrangements for use of
a condominium or privately owned property are subject to agreement by
the donor and the winning bidder. Specifications in the catalog are those
made by the donor. These friends of Blanchet have been most generous
in donating their properties for your use. It is the responsibility of the
successful bidder to leave these accommodations in the same condition as
they were on arrival.
8. Payment in full for all auction items must be made the night of the auction
by cash, personal check to Blanchet Catholic School or VISA/MasterCard
or Discover. If items are not picked up or not paid for, the Auction
Committee reserves the right to re-sell the items.
9. Removal of sold items must be accompanied by a receipt on departure
and must be taken from the premises, unless arrangements are made the
evening of the auction. Large items may be picked up on Sunday, October
14, 2012 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. only.
