Part A:<br />
Heat to approx. 80°C to dissolve the solid ingredients. Disperse Carbopol and Keltrol evenly with high shear<br />
stirring (Ultra Turrax).<br />
Part B:<br />
Weigh the ingredients of phase B. Add phase B to phase A without stirring, emulsify using an Ultra-Turrax<br />
stirrer (<strong>30</strong> sec).<br />
Part C:<br />
Add immediately phase C while emulsifying (another 1,5 min). Stir for 1/2h after emulsifying.<br />
The pH value of the finished product should be approx. 6.5 and has to be checked.<br />
*The SPF 15 was determined on a six-subject panel test based on the recommendation of the COLIPA<br />
TASK FORCE "Sun Protection Measurement" (February 2003).<br />
The product should be labelled SPF 15 (Colipa Recommendation No. 11 - SPF Classification / upper limlt,<br />
COLIPA, June 2002)<br />
**Water-Resistance:<br />
An SPF of 9 was found after immersion using the method described by K. and A. Schrader: Akt. Dermatol.<br />
20, 1<strong>30</strong>-134, 1994.<br />
