There is also the “Edge of Truth” episode dated 4-28-58. Goldsmith composed the<br />

music. Cue I-1 # 1 “Edge of Truth” followed by I-3 # 2 “The Bribe”, and so on.<br />

There is also the “Brotherhood of the Bell” episode airdate 1/6/58. Scene: 1976.<br />

Various composers, including Outer Space Suite cues by Herrmann.<br />

Also “The Other Place” episode dated 1-13-58. Goldsmith cues here.<br />

Also “Balance of Terror” dated 1-27-58. Germany scene. Includes a script.<br />

Also “The Lady Died at Midnight” dated September 1958 with a live orchestra. I<br />

believe it is all Goldsmith but I’m not completely positive.<br />

Also “No Place To Run” episode airdate 9-15-58. Time: 1938. Various composers<br />

(stock music).<br />

Also “The Laughing Willow” dated 2/3/58. Lots of classical music such as<br />

Strauss waltzes, Schoenberg.<br />

Also “The Tongue of Angels” dated 3/17/58. All Goldsmith music.<br />

Also “Incident in Kurishiki” dated 5-12-58, music by Tak Shindo..<br />

Also “The Funny Looking Kid” dated 5-19-58. The music supervisor was Rudy<br />

Schrager. Various composers, opening with Chopin’s Prelude in A major. The next cue is<br />

“Nostalgia” (cue # 448) by Amphiteatrof (<strong>CBS</strong> 8-57-D), 2: 35 duration. The third cue is<br />

M-3 (# 439) “Romantic Scene” by Rene Garriguenc. Then M-4 (#318) “Rio Branco” by<br />

Garriguenc. Then M-5 (#414) “Pointed” by R. Schrager. Etc.<br />

Also cue sheets for “Enemy Within” dated 5-26-58. Various composers. The first<br />

cue (# 281) is “Alert # 1” by L. Moraweck (:40).<br />

Note that the Deed of Gift # 1 (the 930 boxes of written scores and other materials<br />

listed above) are not included in this Finding Aid. I find this highly curious. I’ll have to<br />

contact <strong>UCLA</strong> and ask why this is so.wjw Meanwhile you can use the Wayback Machine<br />

What I also find curious is that most of the boxes I had pulled for me in 2003 are<br />

not mentioned in this Finding Aid (yet at any rate). It’s last update was sometime in 2008<br />

(I am typing this paragraph on Wednesday, April 07, 2010). It states that the Collection<br />

will be updated periodically. Well, I hope in the next update they include Boxes 1551<br />

thru 1558 that I had researched because they are not indicated yet. Boxes 1778, 1788,<br />

1790, 1805, and 1813 that I had personally inspected were indicated in the current<br />
