DIVORCE OVERVIEW Feb. 9 — The legal aspects <strong>of</strong> divorce will be presented by Detroit attorney Marlyn Marcks at a YWCA seminar 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church on West Chicago at Hubbard in Livonia. Ms. Marcks will review the divorce process and answer questions. For more information about the ongoing divorce support qroup, contract Leslie Frederick, area program director for the YWCA, at 561-4110 SKI CLINIC Feb. 10 — The <strong>Canton</strong> Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a cross-country skiing clinic from 7:30 to 9 p.m. behind <strong>Township</strong> Hall at <strong>Canton</strong> Center and Proctor. The $5.50 per person cost includes skiis, poles, boots and instructions. The cost is $3.50 for persons with their own equipment. To reserve a spot, call 397-1000 two days prior to the event ARC MEETING Feb. 10 — The Association for Retarded Citizens <strong>of</strong> Northwest Communities will hold its general membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Webster School, 37855 Lyndon in Livonia. Guest speakers will address "Our Response to Budget Cuts." The group instead will hold two meetings — March 11 and April 8 The March 11 meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Middle School in Plymouth <strong>Township</strong>. Guest speaker will b« Rose Silver, director <strong>of</strong> Ann Arbor's Emerson School for Talented Young People, who will discuss being the parent <strong>of</strong> a gifted child. On April 8, the guest speaker will b? Cheryl Johnson, Talented And Gifted director for Plymouth-<strong>Canton</strong> Community Schools, who will talk about revised identification criteria. SMITH TALENT SHOW Feb. 11 — The Smith School PTO will sponsor a talent show 7-8:30 p.m. in the school's multi-purpose room. Many Smith students have auditioned, and a number <strong>of</strong> acts have been selected for the show.' PRINCIPAL'S COFFEE Feb. 12 — A c<strong>of</strong><strong>fee</strong> hour between parents and principals at the Centennial Educational Park will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Plymouth <strong>Canton</strong> High School conference room. ROCK AND MINERAL SHOW Feb. 15 — The Plymouth Rock and Mineral Society will host an open house noon to 5 p.m at the Plymouth Cultural Center. Featured will be slide shows, demonstrations, displays and movies. The entrance <strong>fee</strong> is 50 cents for adults Radio plans open house -The ninth anniversary <strong>of</strong> WSDP, the student-operated radio station at Plymouth Centennial Educational Park, will be observed Friday with an open house. Noncommercial, educational broadcasting has existed in the Plymouth- <strong>Canton</strong> since 1972 when WSDP (88.1 FM) began broadcasting Since that time, WSDP has been expanding its locally oriented program- 38% OFF ming to respond to the interests and needs <strong>of</strong> the community. The open house, organized by the advisers, student promotions group and parent boosters <strong>of</strong> WSDP, will take place between 3-7 p.m Friday. Refreshments will be served, and tours <strong>of</strong> the studios will be given.
