LTG High Performance Tangential Fans
Even airflow over large areas
Temperature range from -40 °C to +800 °C
(-40 °F to +1500 °F)

LTG High Performance Tangential Fans
To achieve better product quality and to improve the production process
Many production processes require an extended linear and
absolutely even distribution of air or other gases over a certain
area.
The special design of LTG High Performance Tangential Fans
provides the optimum solution for these requirements.
The robust design and the use of high quality materials assure
a long life expectancy. The way these fans work, allowing even air
distribution without additional baffles and vanes, and the spacesaving
design, make the use of tangential fans very economic.
airflow 180°
Flow principle:
In a tangential fan, the air is drawn in over the entire length of
the fan impeller. Inside the impeller, the airflow is diverted and
accelerated by the vortex created by the rotation of the impeller.
The airstream then exits over the entire length of the impeller on
the discharge side. The vortex separates the intake and discharge
side of the fan at the narrowest point between the impeller
and the vortex builder. Together with the fan scroll, the vortex
directs the airflow. This results in an almost uniform laminar
airflow over the entire outlet width of the fan.
airflow 90°

Choose LTG High Performance Tangential Fans
Tangential
Axial
Advantages:
Centrifugal
• Uniform, extended airflow over large areas.
• Space-saving installation due to 90° and 180° airflow
pattern.
• Fan length can be matched exactly to machine
width.
• Airflow conditions remain the same even for wider
machines (simplified design and drafting in case of
modular systems).
LTG High Performance Tangential Fans: easy to incorporate into
your design
In various industries, tangential fans provide effective cooling,
heating or drying. This assures a flawless function and quality
improvement of machinery and equipment. The specific design of
the tangential fan saves space and provides the designer with a
lot of freedom during the design process.
Complicated additional air guidance systems, such as ducts or
guide vanes to optimise the air or temperature distribution, are
not required. The whole assembly can be produced smaller, more
compact, saving a lot of space.
LTG Aktiengesellschaft offers fans for all airflow patterns:
the best prerequisite for objective technical advice.
• Fans perform well in any mounting position. Drive can
be mounted on right or left hand side.
• Quiet operation due to optimised impeller and housing
design.
• Long life expectancy due to robust design and location
of bearings outside the hot air zone.
• Explosion-proof models according to ATEX available.

LTG Engineering Services
Make use of our knowledge to solve your problems
Whether you are designing a production facility, a building or
a machine, our highly qualified engineers will assist you with
your ventilation, airflow and air conditioning problems from
the very start.
As professionals, we can provide everything you need for optimum
implementation of your project: individual advice, broad
know-how and the necessary tools, for example, a fully equipped
R&D lab.
Our services
• We analyse your existing systems, machinery and processes.
• Together with you, we define your requirements, taking all the
relevant parameters into account.
• To find solutions, we use our broad know-how plus numerical
and experimental flow analysis.
• The result: solutions that are tailored according to your
needs. For example, we optimise the airflow in your process
and maximise your energy efficiency.
On-site measurements
Our specialists determine the parameters of the existing system
on site. Based on these parameters, together with you, we define
your requirements and suggest ways to solve your particular
problem. This information is used for numerical flow simulations
and experimental verification.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
Computational fluid dynamics permits the calculation and visualisation
of airflow for existing or planned systems and processes.
By varying different parameters we develop reliable, innovative
flow concepts and significantly shorten the development time.
Experimental flow investigations and optimisation
The visualisation of airflow on site or in an LTG flow laboratory, at
reduced or original scale, provides certainty. Process parameters
like air speed, pressure and temperature can be optimised. We
apply the results of CFD simulations to the given situation and
verify them with the product or process.
Acoustic optimisation
Measurements of your product’s acoustic power level in LTG’s
reverberant echo chamber are part of our engineering services.
Here we analyse sound spectra and optimise your product’s
acoustic properties in a systematic manner. Additionally, we
measure sound pressure levels on site at your workstations and
systems.
