ORIGINAL RETURNED.<br />
If you are the non <strong>EEA</strong> spouse or the child (under 21 years) <strong>of</strong> an <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong><br />
or the child <strong>of</strong> the non <strong>EEA</strong> spouse and wish to join/accompany the <strong>EU</strong><br />
<strong>Citizen</strong> in Ireland the following documents are required:<br />
1. Fully completed and signed Application Summary , which can be printed<br />
out after an online application is made. This should be submitted with one<br />
passport photo – please see document on photo requirements.<br />
2. Original Passport plus one copy <strong>of</strong> this.<br />
3. No visa fee is charged for the spouse/child <strong>of</strong> an <strong>EU</strong> citizen.<br />
4. Marriage Certificate – evidence (apostilled document) that marriage<br />
has been registered in applicant’s country <strong>of</strong> origin/residence<br />
5. Birth Certificate (long form) for children under 21 years, letter <strong>of</strong> parental<br />
Consent (Where a child under the age <strong>of</strong> 18 is travelling alone, the consent <strong>of</strong><br />
both parents/guardians is required. If the child is travelling with one parent,<br />
the consent <strong>of</strong> the other parent is required. Where only one parent has<br />
total custody and access rights, <strong>of</strong>ficial evidence <strong>of</strong> this must be provided.)<br />
6. National identity card (signed if required)<br />
7. Evidence that the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> spouse is exercising their <strong>EU</strong> Treaty<br />
Rights by being employed/self employed in the State or engaged in a valid<br />
vocational training programme or has sufficient financial resources and<br />
comprehensive sickness insurance cover<br />
Partner
If you are the non <strong>EEA</strong> partner <strong>of</strong> an <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> in an attested, durable<br />
relationship that has existed for at least 2 years the following documents are<br />
required:<br />
·<br />
1. Fully completed and signed Application Summary , which can be printed<br />
out after an online application is made. This should be submitted with one<br />
passport photo – please see document on photo requirements.<br />
2. Original Passport plus one copy <strong>of</strong> this.<br />
3. The required visa fee in the form <strong>of</strong> DD in favour <strong>of</strong> “Embassy <strong>of</strong> Ireland,<br />
New Delhi”. DD’s can be obtained from all VFS Application centres.<br />
4. Documentary evidence that will attest to the existence and durability<br />
<strong>of</strong> the relationship – e.g. Registration Certificate <strong>of</strong> partnership (if<br />
applicable) or evidence <strong>of</strong> common ownership <strong>of</strong> property, joint tenancy <strong>of</strong><br />
property, on-going correspondence addressed to both partners at the same<br />
address, financial dependence/interdependence, joint bank accounts or any<br />
other relevant documentation.<br />
5. Evidence that the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> partner is exercising their <strong>EU</strong> Treaty<br />
Rights by being employed/self employed in the State or engaged in a valid<br />
vocational training programme or has sufficient financial resources and<br />
comprehensive sickness insurance cover<br />
NOTE: The onus is on the applicant to satisfy the Visa Officer <strong>of</strong> the<br />
bona-fide <strong>of</strong> the partnership<br />
Other <strong>Family</strong> <strong>Member</strong>s <strong>of</strong> <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> including their<br />
parents and in-laws<br />
Any family member <strong>of</strong> an <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> who is:<br />
A dependent <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> or the qualifying dependant <strong>of</strong> the spouse <strong>of</strong><br />
the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong><br />
A member <strong>of</strong> the household <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> or a person requiring the<br />
personal care <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong>, on the basis <strong>of</strong> serious health grounds may<br />
have their application for a visa considered on submission <strong>of</strong> the following<br />
documentation:
1. Fully completed and signed Application Summary , which can be printed<br />
out after an online application is made. This should be submitted with one<br />
passport photo – please see document on photo requirements.<br />
2. Original Passport plus one copy <strong>of</strong> this.<br />
3. The required visa fee in the form <strong>of</strong> DD in favor <strong>of</strong> “Embassy <strong>of</strong> Ireland,<br />
New Delhi”. DD’s can be obtained from all VFS Application centers.<br />
4. Evidence <strong>of</strong> their relationship to the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong><br />
5. Evidence <strong>of</strong> their dependency on the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong>, where applicable<br />
6 Evidence that they are a member <strong>of</strong> the household <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong>,<br />
where applicable<br />
7. Evidence that they require the personal care <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> on<br />
serious health grounds, where applicable<br />
Visits<br />
If non <strong>EEA</strong> family members wish to accompany an <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> on a visit to<br />
Ireland, or visit their <strong>EU</strong> family member who is residing in Ireland, all the<br />
documentation listed previously should be submitted in addition to<br />
· Evidence that the applicant is accompanying the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> to Ireland<br />
– e.g. return airline/ferry tickets in both names<br />
Or<br />
· Evidence that the <strong>EU</strong> <strong>Citizen</strong> is already residing in Ireland<br />
The applicant should, if intending to reside with the <strong>EU</strong> citizen in the State,<br />
make an application for a residence card on the expiry <strong>of</strong> 90 days to the<br />
<strong>EU</strong>TR Section, 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.<br />
IMPORTANT NOTE<br />
The bearer <strong>of</strong> the visa must present to an Immigration Official at an<br />
approved port <strong>of</strong> entry. Please note that a visa only grants the
earer permission to present at an approved port <strong>of</strong> entry into the<br />
State. The decision to allow entry to the State is at the discretion <strong>of</strong><br />
the Immigration Officer and moreover the visa itself does not imply<br />
any entitlements whatsoever as to residency in the State.<br />
ALL OF THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR<br />
APPLICATION. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY OF THESE<br />
DOCUMENTS PLEASE PROVIDE A WRITTEN EXPLANTION FOR THE<br />
OMISSION.<br />
