Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos of the Iskos-Berlin design studio wanted to<br />
create a compact and comfortable family of sofas on the lines of classic<br />
soft furniture style and came up with Snoopy. This sofa has got just two<br />
elements - a horizontal "pillow" for a seat and a vertical "duvet" as the<br />
back rest that wraps around the seat forming the sides. The designers<br />
have used marked piping in the upholstery which accentuates the shape<br />
of the sofa.<br />
Austria-based designer Philipp Aduatz's<br />
Melting Chair is crafted to resemble either a<br />
solid chair melting away or part-solidification<br />
of liquid. To create a realistic illusion, and<br />
create a transient transformation within a<br />
sculptural object Aduatz studied the<br />
solidification of fluids as well as the melting of<br />
solids with modern 3D animation software.<br />
