This digital copy was produced by the Case Western Reserve University Archives Senior
Milestones Project.
The Senior Milestones Project aims to enhance access to archival documents reflective of
undergraduate student life. Phase 2, conducted in 2009, produced digital copies of 24 senior
yearbooks ranging from 1913 to 1963 of Adelbert College, Case Institute of Technology,
Cleveland College, and Flora Stone Mather College.
These years represent a tiny portion of yearbooks in the Archives. As additional resources are
identified, milestone documents of other schools and classes will be digitized.
Original documents from the University Archives were scanned as 300 ppi, 24-bit color,
uncompressed, TIFF images. Blank pages were omitted. The images were OCR’d using ABBYY
FineReader 9.0 and converted to PDF/A. Scanning and production of derivatives was done by
Aptigent LLC, Beachwood, Ohio. Additional processing was done by staff and students of the
University Archives.
Funding for this project was provided by the Kelvin Smith Library Don M. Blanche Endowment
Fund.
