HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN<br />
Jordanian civil defence events organised during the celebration of the World Civil Defence Day 2009<br />
(“civil defence: preventive information and communication techniques”):<br />
1. Preparing and broadcasting a television series including clarification of the concept of the slogan of this<br />
year and means of achieving it.<br />
2. The establishment of a major ceremony in the building of the Directorate General in which was invited<br />
media professionals from all means of Local media in order to consolidate the already existing relationship<br />
between their media institutions and civil defence.<br />
3. Broadcasting of a documentary film for a period of (15) fifteen-minutes dealing with the evolution of<br />
Civil Defence and the importance of preventive procedures and the role of media in realizing the concept of<br />
a culture of prevention.<br />
4. A special issue of the Journal of Civil Defence on this occasion.<br />
5. Print, production and distribution of a special Poster slogan which embodies the celebration of this year.<br />
6. Intensification of awareness programs in all media.<br />
7. Educational lectures given by officers of the civil defence specialists in the field of preventive training in<br />
all the governorates of the Kingdom.<br />
