Papers in this symposium are i ntended to emphasize the
magnetospheric roles of various ion species from internal
sources. Contributors will be encouraged to make use of
existing data sets from all the magnetospheres in the Solar
System. Results from passive and actives experiments on the
CERES mission are solicited.
