Veli Rat- Wednesday 9 th May<br />
Veli Rat has been settled in the Roman period, situated on the north end of Dugi Otok on the coast<br />
of the Ćuna bay, which is through a narrow channel connected with the Pantera bay.<br />
It`s a popular meeting point for boaters and nature lovers.<br />
The pearl of Veli Rat is the lighthouse Punta Bjanka, the biggest on the Adriatic's, 42 meter high.<br />
It shows the way to the sailors for more than 150 years.<br />
In the village there is a parish church St. Ante and in the yard of the lighthouse a chapel of St.<br />
Nicholas, the guardian of the sailors, with Roman missal from 1869.<br />
Northern in front of Veli Rat there is the wreck of a stranded italian freighter<br />
