Engineering Challenge Cup<br />
05 th to 12 th of May <strong>2012</strong><br />
Amenities throughout the week:<br />
Water supply : Biograd, (at Sali may be a charge for water), Veli Iz, Veli Rat, Zadar, depending on<br />
your berthing place<br />
Sufficient toilets and showers: Biograd, Zadar<br />
Very limited (4!) toilets and showers at Sali.<br />
None at Telašćica bay!<br />
Very limited at Veli Iz.<br />
Very limited at Veli Rat.<br />
Even though there are toilets and showers in these locations, there will always remain the same<br />
problem: no facility can cope with 300-400 people storming into it and claiming a hot shower<br />
simultaneously!<br />
Supermarket: Biograd, Sali, Zadar<br />
Small shops at Veli Iz and Veli Rat.<br />
None at Telašćica bay.<br />
General advise:<br />
If you take a walk, especially through any bushes, beware of ticks! A tick bite can be dangerous<br />
and cause tick-borne encephalitis.<br />
We advise every crew to take a reasonable amount of Doxycycline 100/ 50 tbl. with them, as boat<br />
no 39 cannot provide antibiotics for the whole fleet.<br />
