Mom wanted<br />

at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7,<br />

on Mack near Neff in the<br />

City of Grosse Pointe.<br />

Wan-ants totaling $1,112<br />

were for failing to answer<br />

charges in City and Grosse<br />

Pointe Woods municipal<br />

courts.<br />

Because the teenager was<br />

nine months pregnant, City<br />

police accepted a partial<br />

bond payment of $185 for<br />

release.<br />

"Grosse Pointe Woods did<br />

not wish to pick up (the<br />

woman) due to her condition<br />

and instead requested (she)<br />

contact the court," said an<br />

officer.<br />

Abandoned car<br />

On Wednesday. Jan. 5, at<br />

2:30 p.m., City of Grosse<br />

Pointe police impounded a<br />

brown 1985 Plymouth<br />

Reliant parked more than<br />

48 hours in the 500 block of<br />

Cadieux.<br />

Officers said the vehicle<br />

appeared abandoned. It had<br />

a flat front tire, damaged<br />

smashed windshield.<br />

5:48 p.m., stopped a 32-yearold<br />

Detroit man driving on<br />

westbound Kercheval in a<br />

1997 Chevrolet Venture<br />

without headlights and a<br />

broken taillight.<br />

The man had four license<br />

suspensions and was wanted<br />

on three Wayne County<br />

warrants. County authorities<br />

told Farms police to<br />

release the man. Farms officers<br />

released the man's car<br />

to a licensed female passenger.<br />

Purse forgotten<br />

On Saturday, Jan. 8, a 61year-old<br />

woman from<br />

Arizona reported to Grosse<br />

Pointe Farms police the Dec.<br />

31 theft of her purse from a<br />

restaurant in the 8400 block<br />

of Mack.<br />

The woman said she and<br />

her husband had finished<br />

dinner when they exited the<br />

restaurant without her<br />

purse. Moments later she<br />

recognized her oversight,<br />

returned to the restaurant,<br />

but her purse was gone.<br />

She said the large, black<br />

leather saddle purse was<br />

worth $100 and contained<br />

$185.<br />
