In c!ompliance with tliis provision and of the duties imposed on me by the thinl
section of the ordinance relative to the City Comptroller, I beg lea,ve to sob~nit the
annesed annual report, exhibiting the receipts and expenditures for the fiscal year
com~nencillo- March 14th, 1855, and ending on the 1st instant, together with the state
ot the puhzc debt atid the state of the finances of each fwd, and such othel- information
in reprcl to tho general finances of the city as the public interest requi~rs.

was, exclusive of thc bonds held by the trustees of tlre sinking ft~nd, $300,436 18
