Beer Styles
Beer style is a term used to differentiate and
categorize beers by various factors such
as colour, flavour, strength, ingredients,
production method, recipe, history, or origin. Though
many beer styles have specific names such as
Doppelbock, or Pilsner for instance, this is because
they generally fall into broad types according to the
time and temperature of the primary fermentation
and the variety of yeast used during
fermentation. With microbrewery
technology and production abilities
in recent decades, there is far too
much overlap them to easily list them

Cider is made from apple juice,
varying in alcohol content from
2% abv to 8.5% abv or more in
traditional English ciders. The flavor of
cider varies and is generally classified
from dry to sweet. Their appearance ranges
from cloudy with sediment to completely clear
with a colour range of light yellow through orange to
brown. Variations in clarity and colour are mostly due to
filtering between pressing and fermentation. Both sparkling
and still ciders are made with the sparkling variety being
more common.
