3.2.4 Stakeholder workshop<br />
The objective of the workshop with stakeholders was to better<br />
understand whether and how employers take young people’s<br />
experience in youth organisations into consideration. The<br />
stakeholder workshop also was a means to gather information<br />
regarding employers’ views on the ways in which young people<br />
articulate their engagement in youth organisations on their CV’s<br />
and/or motivation letter.<br />
The workshop took place on the 27 th June 2012 in Brussels, and<br />
brought together employers, guidance services and youth sector<br />
representatives. Seven people, mainly from Brussels and Paris area,<br />
participated, including:<br />
− Three senior human resource managers with each over<br />
eight years of experience in recruitment for organisations<br />
in the Benelux, Europe and beyond;<br />
− Two senior managers, involved in management and<br />
recruitment with over twenty years of experience;<br />
− A director of a Flemish youth guidance service; and<br />
− A representative of a youth organisation.<br />
Out of the three senior human resources managers, two were<br />
employed by a Brussels-based organisation; one of which was a<br />
recruiter at a large University and annually recruits between 200 –<br />
300 people for a range of functions (from academic to administrative,<br />
managerial or marking positions); the second person was a human<br />
resources manager who works for an international company that<br />
recruits staff from across Europe and beyond. The other senior<br />
human resource manager had over eight years of experience in<br />
human resources for a large Paris-based multinational corporation.<br />
The two participating senior managers were based in Brussels and<br />
had over 20 years of experience. The representative of the Flemish<br />
youth guidance worked in the areas of formal and non-formal<br />
education, in particular for disadvantaged youth, and their linkages to<br />
employment. The representative of a youth organisation had been a<br />
