The workhorse of the German army, the<br />

German 8 ton 1/2 track served as a weapons<br />

carrier and personnel carrier. It was able to<br />

carry a variety of weapons of various sizes.<br />

76002 M46 Patton Tank 1/35 scale<br />

The first of the Patton series tanks, the M46 Patton<br />

was one of the U.S army's main battle tanks of the<br />

Cold War, designed to replace the previous M26<br />

Pershings and M4 Shermans.<br />

The tank was named after General George S.<br />

Patton, commander of the U.S. Third Army<br />

during World War II, and an American<br />

advocate for the use of tanks in battle.<br />

Unassembled Plastic Model Kit<br />

Both the Tiger 1 and the Panther G machines<br />

were designed and built to stand up against<br />

the Russian T 34. Each carried a crew of 5. Of<br />

the two tanks, the Tiger 1 was heavier and<br />

slower (56.9 tons/38 km/h). The Panther was<br />

lighter and faster (44.8 tons/55 km/h) with a<br />

75mm gun and a 16hp/ton power ratio. The<br />

Tiger had an 88mm gun and with the same<br />

690hp engine; but only had a 12.3 hp/ton<br />

power ratio.<br />

Over 6000 Panthers (various models) were<br />

built throughout the war, but only 1,355 of<br />

the various Tigers were produced.<br />
