Model kit includes 25 Stuka and 25 ME 109T aircraft 1/200 scale Unassembled Plastic Model Kit MODEL MEASURES OVER 56 INCHES LONG! Germany’s only aircraft carrier, Graf Zeppelin, was named in honor of Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin. Construction was started in 1936, and plagued with problems, the war was over before she was completed. She was scuttled by the Germans and later towed to Russia by the Soviets, where she was used for target practice until finally sunk in 1947. The specially designed Stuka (JU87c) had folding wings and a arresting hook. The ME 109-T had extended squared-off wing tips, with a similar arresting hook. Fifty-seven ME 109-T aircraft were built and tested in over 1,500 take offs and landings. After the construction of the aircraft was stopped, all the completed planes were used by the Luftwaffe elsewhere. No plane ever took off or landed on the Graf Zeppelin. The blueprint images shown are from photos of the originals. Original bluprints are 27 feet in length and stored in the German archives.
