Oceanic Endeavour
High-Capacity 3D Seismic Vessel
The M/V Oceanic Endeavour was built in 2008 in Norway. She was upgraded with a fully
redundant hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system in 2010. Oceanic Endeavour is a dualsource,
multi-streamer seismic vessel equipped with state-of-the-art integrated geophysical and
navigation data acquisition systems.
The vessel is ideally suited for acquisition of large 3D, high-resolution and 4D projects, with the
ability to deploy streamer configurations of up to 16 streamers. The seismic instrumentation
consists of multiple Sercel SEAL ® 428 recording systems and Sercel Sentinel ® solid streamers,
fitted with Nautilus ® for full acoustic bracing and streamer positioning control. The seismic
sources on the vessel consist of tuned arrays of “G-Gun II“ airguns, controlled by a Gunlink 4000
system.
The CGGVeritas proprietary geovation seismic data processing system is integrated with the
acquisition systems for onboard quality control and data processing. ‘Fast-track’ final products,
including full-fold DMO stacks or migrations of the entire data set, can be produced onboard
shortly after completion of acquisition.
