IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS<br />

11. If Lighted On/Off Switch does not illum<strong>in</strong>ate when set to “On” position, unit is not operat<strong>in</strong>g<br />

normally. Immediately turn unit off and disconnect from power supply, then refer to<br />

troubleshoot<strong>in</strong>g guide on Page 14 of this manual for assistance.<br />

12. Always turn off unit and unplug power cord when not <strong>in</strong> use.<br />

13. Do not use unit outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are be<strong>in</strong>g used, or where<br />

oxygen is be<strong>in</strong>g adm<strong>in</strong>istered.<br />

14. Unit is only meant to be used with recommended SF-434 accessories. Us<strong>in</strong>g other types of<br />

attachments may cause damage to unit or <strong>in</strong>jury.<br />

15. When fill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>Water</strong> Tank, only distilled or de-m<strong>in</strong>eralized water should be used <strong>in</strong> unit, <strong>in</strong> order<br />

to m<strong>in</strong>imize potential build-up of m<strong>in</strong>eral deposits. Other clean<strong>in</strong>g agents could damage unit or<br />

cause <strong>in</strong>jury. Do not overfill unit.<br />

16. Do not attempt to use steam without first properly fill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>Water</strong> Tank.<br />

17. To reduce risk of contact with hot water emitt<strong>in</strong>g from steam vents, check appliance before each<br />

use by hold<strong>in</strong>g Steam Nozzle away from body and press<strong>in</strong>g Steam Button. Do not operate unit<br />

if steam vents are blocked.<br />

18. Burns can occur from touch<strong>in</strong>g hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Do not touch <strong>Iron</strong><strong>in</strong>g Plate<br />

while unit is <strong>in</strong> use. Do not turn unit upside-down - it may conta<strong>in</strong> hot water.<br />

19. When press<strong>in</strong>g/steam<strong>in</strong>g any item for the first time, it is recommended that you consult the<br />

manufacturer’s guidel<strong>in</strong>es for material be<strong>in</strong>g steamed. For items <strong>in</strong> question, test on an<br />

<strong>in</strong>conspicuous area before proceed<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

20. Do not allow power cord to touch hot surfaces dur<strong>in</strong>g use. Bundle cord <strong>in</strong>side Cord Clasp when<br />

stor<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

21. Always allow 2-<strong>in</strong>-1 <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Steamer</strong> & <strong>Iron</strong> to cool completely (at least 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes) before<br />

stor<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Use of this appliance for anyth<strong>in</strong>g other than its <strong>in</strong>tended purposes as specified <strong>in</strong> this<br />

manual may result <strong>in</strong> voidance of the warranty.<br />
