Equipo para la desactivación de artefactos explosivos, tiene como
finalidad el contrarrestar el daño causado por el empleo de explosivos
por terroristas. Se basa en el principio de gancho cuerda, consiste
en secciones tubulares que se acoplan en forma mecánica, de fácil
armado, cuya principal finalidad es aumentar la distancia entre
el posible artefacto explosivo improvisado y el personal técnico
encargado de desmantelarlo. El fin es ofrecer una mayor distancia de
seguridad entre el artefacto explosivo y el operador, lo cual permite
minimizar el daño causado por efecto de una detonación.
The equipment for explosive device deactivation, has the aim to
counteract the damage caused by the use of explosives by terrorists.
It is based on the principle of the rope hook system which consists
in tubular sections that are connected in a mechanical way and
easily armed. Its main purpose is to increase the distance between
the improvised explosive device and the technical staff in charge of
its dismantling. It provides a greater safety distance between the
explosive device and the operator, minimizing the eventual damage
by the detonations effect.
