Problem<br />

Detergentfails to mix with spray.<br />

Enginerunsgoodat no-load but<br />

"bogs" when load is added.<br />

Enginewill not start; or startsand<br />

runs rough.<br />

Cause<br />

1. Water inlet is blocked.<br />

2. inadequatewater supply.<br />

3. inlet hose is kinkedor leaking.<br />

4. Clogged inlet hose strainer.<br />

5. Water supply is over IO0°F.<br />

6. High <strong>pressure</strong> hose is blocked or<br />

leaks.<br />

7. Gun leaks.<br />

8. Spray tip is obstructed.<br />

9. Pump is faulty.<br />

1. Detergentsiphoning tube is not<br />

submerged.<br />

2. Detergentsiphoning tube/filter is<br />

clogged or cracked.<br />

3. High <strong>pressure</strong> spray tip installed.<br />

Engine speed is too slow.<br />

1. Throttle lever in "Stop" position.<br />

2. Fuel valve in "Off" position.<br />

3. Dirty air cleaner.<br />

4. Out of fuel.<br />

5. Stale fuel.<br />

6. Spark plug wire not connected to<br />

spark plug.<br />

7. Badspark plug.<br />

8. Water in fuel.<br />

9. Overchoking.<br />

10. Excessivelyrich fuel mixture.<br />

Correction<br />

1. Cieariniet.<br />

2. Provide adequatewater flow.<br />

i3. Straighten inlet hose, patch leak.<br />

4. Checkand clean inlet hose strainer.<br />

5. Provide cooler water supply.<br />

6. Clear blocks in high <strong>pressure</strong> hose or<br />

replace hose.<br />

7. Replacegun.<br />

8. Cleanspray tip.<br />

9. Contact Sears service facility.<br />

1. insert detergent siphoning tube into<br />

detergent.<br />

2. Cleanor replacefilter/detergent<br />

siphoning tube.<br />

3. Replacehigh <strong>pressure</strong> spray tip with<br />

black spray tip.<br />

Move throttle control to FASTposition, if<br />

engine still "bogs down", contact Sears<br />

service facility.<br />

1. Move throttle lever to "Fast" position.<br />

2. Move fuel valve to "On" position.<br />

3. Cleanor replaceair cleaner.<br />

4. Fill fuel tank.<br />

5. Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.<br />

6. Connect wire to spark plug.<br />

7. Replacespark plug.<br />

9. Openchoke fully and crank engine.<br />

10. Contact Sears service facility.<br />

Engineshutsdown during Out of fuel. Fill fuel tank.<br />

Dirty air filter.<br />

Choke is openedtoo soon.<br />

Replaceair filter.<br />

Move choke to halfway position until engine<br />

runs smoothly.<br />
