Crónicas <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong>s Comunida<strong>de</strong>sOCTUBRE36DICIEMBREVicariato <strong>de</strong> Venezue<strong>la</strong>Jornada AgustinianaDurante los días 12 y 13 <strong>de</strong> noviembre se<strong>de</strong>sarrolló <strong>la</strong> tradicional JornadaAgustiniana, en honor a todos los Santos<strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> Or<strong>de</strong>n. Fue organizada por elProfesorio Anselmo Po<strong>la</strong>nco y elPostu<strong>la</strong>ntado Santa Rita <strong>de</strong> Casia.Asistieron <strong>la</strong>s tres Casas <strong>de</strong> Formación<strong>de</strong>l Vicariato <strong>de</strong> Venezue<strong>la</strong>, algunosaspirantes a <strong>la</strong> vida agustiniana y algunosjóvenes <strong>de</strong> los distintos grupos <strong>de</strong>pastoral <strong>de</strong> nuestras parroquias y colegios <strong>de</strong>Caracas. El objetivo principal <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> Jornada fuedar a conocer el carisma agustiniano y <strong>la</strong><strong>la</strong>bor realizada por los Agustinos enVenezue<strong>la</strong>.Colegio San Agustín-El MarquésEl día 28 <strong>de</strong> octubre se realizó, con muchailusión, el Retiro <strong>de</strong> dirigentes <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> pastoral <strong>de</strong>Bachillerato. Fue un intenso fin <strong>de</strong> semanaanimado por el P. Carlos A. Totumo, quien orientóa los participantes sobre el tema vocacionalcarismático. El día 16 <strong>de</strong> diciembre se celebró enel colegio, anticipadamente, <strong>la</strong> fiesta <strong>de</strong>Navidad. En <strong>la</strong> mañana se realizó una sencil<strong>la</strong>ceremonia religiosa en torno a <strong>la</strong> Corona <strong>de</strong>Adviento, y seguidamente un pequeño agasajo.En <strong>la</strong> tar<strong>de</strong> se mantuvo activado un bazarnavi<strong>de</strong>ño. Hubo, a<strong>de</strong>más, venta <strong>de</strong> comida, juegospara niños y representaciones musicales, tanto<strong>de</strong>l propio colegio como <strong>de</strong> colegios invitados.Casa <strong>de</strong> Formación Santa Rita<strong>de</strong> CasiaEl 17 <strong>de</strong> noviembre, con alegría y nostalgia, <strong>la</strong>comunidad <strong>de</strong>l Seminario Santa Rita celebró <strong>la</strong>Eucaristía y seguidamente <strong>la</strong> cena <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>spedida<strong>de</strong> Fr. Jesús Manuel Palentino Santos, en supartida para Italia, don<strong>de</strong> realizará estudios <strong>de</strong>especialización. El viernes 16 <strong>de</strong> diciembre se<strong>de</strong>sarrolló el programa <strong>de</strong>l compartir navi<strong>de</strong>ño,previamente a <strong>la</strong> ida <strong>de</strong> los formandos a suscasas para pasar <strong>la</strong>s vacaciones <strong>de</strong> Navidad consus familiares. Fue una bel<strong>la</strong> y alegre fiesta,primeramente <strong>la</strong> Misa y acto seguido <strong>la</strong> cenacon sabor navi<strong>de</strong>ño.Participantes en <strong>la</strong> Jornada AgustinianaOr<strong>de</strong>nación sacerdotal<strong>de</strong> Fr. Carlos A. TotumoCon gran alegría y júbilo para el Vicariato <strong>de</strong>Venezue<strong>la</strong>, el 10 <strong>de</strong> diciembre fue or<strong>de</strong>nado <strong>de</strong>sacerdote Fr. Carlos Alexan<strong>de</strong>r Totumo Mejías enLas Tinajitas (Guanare, Edo. Portuguesa), supueblo natal, <strong>de</strong> manos <strong>de</strong> Mons. José <strong>de</strong>Trinidad Valera Angulo, Obispo <strong>de</strong> Guanare.Momentos antes <strong>de</strong> culminar <strong>la</strong> celebración, y <strong>de</strong>forma sorpresiva, Mons. Valera tomó uninstrumento Musical (“el Cuatro”) y regaló alnuevo sacerdote <strong>la</strong> canción titu<strong>la</strong>da “CarlosAlexan<strong>de</strong>r Hijo <strong>de</strong> Venezue<strong>la</strong>”. El mismoMonseñor compuso, tocó y cantó esa canciónsalida <strong>de</strong>s<strong>de</strong> lo más profundo <strong>de</strong> su corazón,invitando al P. Carlos a seguir con fi<strong>de</strong>lidad algran Padre Agustín. Al día siguiente fue <strong>la</strong>celebración <strong>de</strong>l “Canta Misa” en <strong>la</strong> mismaiglesia parroquial <strong>de</strong> su pueblo natal.Profesión solemne <strong>de</strong> Fr. IsrraelD. OrozcoEl 17 <strong>de</strong> diciembre Fr. Isrrael Dedsaeth OrozcoZambrano, asignado a <strong>la</strong> Comunidad <strong>de</strong>l ColegioSan Agustín-El Marqués, profesó <strong>de</strong> VotosSolemnes en <strong>la</strong> Iglesia Nuestra Señora <strong>de</strong>l BuenConsejo <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> UD-4, Caracas. Estuvo acompañadopor su padre y algunos familiares, a<strong>de</strong>más <strong>de</strong> loshermanos <strong>agustinos</strong> que pudieron asistir paracelebrar este memorable acontecimiento. La misaestuvo presidida por el Vicario Delegado, P. FermínGómez, <strong>de</strong>bido a que el Vicario Regional, P.Helizandro Terán, no pudo estar presente. Luego <strong>de</strong><strong>la</strong> celebración, todos los invitados a <strong>la</strong> mismacompartieron el almuerzo que previamente habíanpreparado con gran esmero <strong>la</strong>s Comunida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong>lTeologado y <strong>de</strong>l Colegio San Agustín <strong>de</strong> <strong>la</strong> UD-4.
2011PROVINCIADE FILIPINASBoletín Informativo37Delegación <strong>de</strong> TanzaniaProvincial Visit of RenewalIn accordance to our Constitutions and theStatutes of our Province Prior Provincial has tomake visitation renewal at least two times in thecommunities of the Province. This is what hasbeen done by faith and love by the PriorProvincial Rev. Fr. Carlos Moran Fernan<strong>de</strong>z beingaccompanied by the Provincial Secretary Bro.Marcelino Esteban Benito. All the brothers of theDelegation were waiting hopefully for this firstvisit of renewal in the Delegation of Tanzania,comprising of four communities: Mahanje-Songea,St Augustine House-Morogoro, St Monica-Dar EsSa<strong>la</strong>am and St. Alypius -Mwanza.They arrived from Madrid on the 5 th of December2011 through Cairo to Julius Nyerere InternationalAirport in Dar Es Sa<strong>la</strong>am -Tanzania at 5:30 in themorning, received by Fr. Erastus Mgani and Fr.Stephano Musomba. The next day, accompaniedby the Delegate Superior of Tanzania, Fr. CosmasAsenga, they travel by p<strong>la</strong>ne to Mwanza.MwanzaMwanza is the second <strong>la</strong>rge City of Tanzania,located at the Northern part of the Country, andSouthern part of Lake Victoria. It is one of the<strong>la</strong>rgest cities in the Great Lake Region. Togetherwith farming activities, a big number of thepopu<strong>la</strong>tion engages in fishing, especially thefamous Sangara, which also has encouraged to acertain extent the <strong>de</strong>velopment of fisheryindustries for export.St. Alypius Community is living in thisarea formed by five members who engagethemselves in the pastoral work andformation and studies in St. AugustineUniversity. The community is working inMko<strong>la</strong>ni Parish which has severaloutstations: Buhongwa, Bu<strong>la</strong>le, Lwanhima,Sah’wa and Mko<strong>la</strong>ni itself.This Community is a novitiate housecomprising of seven novices. Two novicesare from the Delegation of Tanzania andfive from the Delegation of Kenya. It is anew experience in our Delegation and wehope that it will be successful and anursery of future Augustinians, for theChurch of God.Prior <strong>provincia</strong>l started the visit officially duringthe evening prayers on the 6 th of December 2011.He had the opportunity to speak with themembers of the community and then with thenovices individually and altogether. He had ameeting with the Parish Council and there was anexchange of experiences and different opinions.After the meeting with the Parish Council, theProvincial had an opportunity to visit the differentoutstations, which have been constructed andthose on construction with the help of IQUITANZ.Through IQUITANZ the church of Bu<strong>la</strong>le was notonly repaired but also its size increased to its half.The church of Lwanhima was also increased insize but almost rebuilt. The church of Sah’wa isstill un<strong>de</strong>r construction and we hope that it willbe completed as it was p<strong>la</strong>nned by God’s help. Wewould like in a special way to thank IQUITANZ forthe help without which the situation would havebeen something else. May God always bless youIQUITANZ. Thank you very much!On the 7 th of December 2011 was a meeting withthe Fr. David Fitzgerald, Delegate Superior ofKenya. The aim of this meeting was to discuss onthe <strong>de</strong>velopments of the novitiate in Tanzania.The master of the novices gave a brief report ofthe novitiate, indicating the achievements and thedifficulties endured and the way how to face thecoming future. The assisting members held adialogue and proposed some practical issues withrespect to religious life, economy and othermatters.
