2011PROVINCIADE FILIPINASBoletín Informativo39and wish him a good start in his preparation towork in the vineyard of the Lord as a religiousand clergy.The Prior Provincial opened the visit officiallyduring the evening prayers and immediatelyembarked on dialogue with the postu<strong>la</strong>nts and thenwith the professed and postu<strong>la</strong>nts. He then spokewith the members of the community. He visited theoutstations of Ki<strong>la</strong>kale and Bwawani where thiscommunity is taking its pastoral activities. In theoutstation of Ki<strong>la</strong>kale the church building wasfun<strong>de</strong>d by IQUITANZ while the outstation ofBwawani which is found almost fifty kilometersfrom the community, is in the process ofcompleting the construction of the church building.Mavurunza-Dar-Es-Sa<strong>la</strong>amMavurunza is the name of the Parish which isfound in Kimara ward- Dar Es Sa<strong>la</strong>am thecommercial city of the Country. It is a harbor cityon the shores of the Indian Ocean, hot and humidalmost throughout the year. The AugustinianCommunity here is concerned mainly with pastora<strong>la</strong>ctivities in the two parishes of Immacu<strong>la</strong>teConception –Mavurunza and St. Augustine Parishof Temboni. One of the member Fr. StephanoMusomba teaches in the Jordan University Collegeof Morogoro. The community also offers a p<strong>la</strong>cefor the guests who pass there. Soon theComunidad <strong>de</strong> Mavurunzacommunity has another responsibility on the newsecondary school (St. Augustine Secondary School)which is being constructed at Tagaste, near one ofthe Outstation of Mavurunza Parish.Prior Provincial opened the visit of renewal andimmediately started to dialogue with the brothersof the community. He had the occasion to visitthe outstations of Matosa, St. Rita of Casia andSt. Nico<strong>la</strong>us of Tolentino of Msingwa. He alsovisited the construction of the new school ofTagaste where he had a meeting with theconstructor together with the consultant officers.Different aspects were discussed after inspectionof the site. Prior Provincial insisted very much onthe question drainage system, taking into accountof the irregu<strong>la</strong>rity of the site.Prior Provincial held a meeting with thecommunity and insisted on some aspects withrespect to the community life, pastoral an<strong>de</strong>ducational matters taking into consi<strong>de</strong>ration thatthe school will soon be operating. He also metparish council of Mavurunza and had somesharing on pastoral and economical aspects.Finally he met with the Delegation Council wherehe remin<strong>de</strong>d the council to re-examine and studythe Delegation program so as to be able to fulfillthe goal of our Augustinian way of life.Having finished all this, the Provincial had anopportunity to visit the cradle of evangelization inEast Africa, the famous town of Bagamoyo. Herethe Spiritans initiated the process ofevangelization by creating a vil<strong>la</strong>ge for theemancipated s<strong>la</strong>ves and the foundation of thefirst mission in the main<strong>la</strong>nd Tanzania.The visitors and some members of the communityof Mavurunza accepted the invitation of one ofthe affiliated member to the Or<strong>de</strong>r who stays inour parish.Completing well their mission, Prior Provincial andhis Secretary prepared for their journey back toSpain on the 22 nd of December 2011. We hopethey enjoyed their visit as we did enjoy theirpresence with us. Always such visits can be takento be a moment of love, joy, hope and faith,moment of encouragement and growth and amoment in initiate anew our commitments.
