Despite the cancellation of COP 25 in Chile, the climate crisis
continues, that’s why in ACERA we will continue with our
campaign #SoñemosEnergía2030 to highlight how important is
to combat the climate change.
To the videos already published by Ricardo Lagos, former
President of Chile, the Director of TECHO, Sebastián Bowen,
the journalist Paloma Avila, and many others, some new ones
have been added: meteorologist Michelle Adam, the President
and CEO of ACERA, the journalist Maria Elena Dressel, and
chef Carlo von Mühlenbrock, among others. You can follow
the campaign using the hashtag or through our YOUTUBE
channel ACERA AG.
"30 Dreams for 2030" will end on November 21 with a seminar
entitled "Dreaming Energy: From Illusion to Practice", which
seeks to address how to make a reality the dreams presented
by the 30 characters who dreamed a different Chile by 2030,
considering the current situation of the country, to carry on a
conversation with a social perspective when it comes to solve
environmental issues.
Ministry of Energy and BancoEstado
launch first green consumption credit
The Minister of Energy, Juan Carlos Jobet, together with its
Finance peers, Felipe Larraín, of Environment, Carolina
Schmidt, and the president of BancoEstado, Arturo Tagle, gave
the go-ahead on the first green consumer credit. The initiative,
aimed at both clients and non-clients of BancoEstado, seeks to
finance energy efficiency projects and renewable energy for
homes, encouraging the use of clean and friendly sources,
through projects of thermal insulation, solar energy, air
conditioning and efficient ventilation.
"This credit from BancoEstado that allows to finance the
installation of solar panels is good news, not only because the
installation of solar energy in the houses contributes to take
care of the environment, but also takes care of the pocket. With
the installation of solar panels households could have savings
of up to $300,000 a year, which means between 80 and 90%
of the monthly electricity bill," explained the energy minister.
It should be noted that this product adds to other initiatives
developed by BancoEstado in the same vein, such as the
Ecohousing Mortgage Credit and the Green Credit for SMEs.
