customary. It also begins, for the occasion, with the wish that 2009 may turn for everybody into the year of fresh starts and confirmations, where you<br />
can reap, as deserved, the fruits of your work, your commitment, and your investments. We embrace this wish and give it to all the people who live our<br />
fantastic and thrilling world of sport, filled as it is with international and amateur competitions, professional athletes and passionate sportspersons,<br />
tiredness and sweat, hard work and successes.<br />
With the Winter 2009/10 collection Briko delivers on the first of his goals and reaches a milestone along the path of product innovation to<br />
guarantee to our athletes and sportspersons what they expect from Briko: “a beautiful performance”.<br />

BASE LAYER<br />
This layer remains close to the skin therefore it is<br />
the first and most important one as to comfort and<br />
keeping the right hygienic and heat conditions.<br />
All used materials move moisture away from<br />
the body making you feel dry and warm during<br />
the day. Therefore, the loss of energies the body<br />
needs to keep the right temperature is reduced<br />
and allows these energies to be properly used for<br />
athletic performances with results in speed and<br />

OUTER LAYER<br />
This is the outer layer, the shell protecting the<br />
athlete from the most outer agents: water, wind,<br />
snow and humidity. Maximum transpiration is<br />

as racing, cycling and cross-country skiing<br />
produce heavy perspiration that has quickly<br />
to be dissipated by means of fabric allowing<br />
transpiration, protection and freedom to move at<br />

BASISSCHICHT<br />
Es ist die Schicht im direkten Kontakt mit der Haut,<br />
und deshalb die erste und wichtigste Schicht<br />
hinsichtlich des Komforts und der Erhaltung der<br />
richtigen hygienischen und Wärmebedingungen.<br />
Besondere Materialen fördern das Weiterleiten<br />
der Feuchtigkeit, durch den Körper verursacht,<br />
nach außen, wodurch er immer trocken und warm<br />
bleibt. Daher verringert sich der Energieverlust<br />
welcher der Körper braucht, um die richtige<br />
Temperatur, Energie zu behalten, welche dagegen<br />
direkt während der athletischen Leistung mit<br />

Nylon is an excellent choice for difficult lens cuts as tensions and “cracking”<br />
can be reduced in some frame designs. Lenses are manufactured by injection<br />
moulding and, like polycarbonate, are covered by an anti-scratch coating to<br />
improve their resistance to abrasion.<br />

I MATERIALI<br />
POLICARBONATO È una resina termoplastica e la lente si ottiene iniettando<br />
il materiale ad alta pressione e temperatura in stampi metallici. Ha ottime<br />
proprietà antiurto che lo rendono un materiale ideale per l’utilizzo sportivo e<br />
industriale. Il policarbonato è tra i più idonei per la produzione di lenti bifocali,<br />
mascherine, visori e occhiali ad alta curvatura.<br />
NYLON Il Nylon essendo un materiale leggero e flessibile permette la<br />
realizzazione di tagli più elaborati e resistenti al “cracking”.<br />
Le lenti vengono prodotte per stampaggio ad iniezione e analogamente<br />
al policarbonato, sono dotate di una lacca antigraffio per migliorarne la<br />
resistenza all’abrasione.

KUNSTSTOFF Diese leichte und modische Material ist die perfekte Lösung<br />
für jene Brillen, die für den Modesektor kreiert warden. Kunststoff ist ein<br />
hervorragend geeignetes Material für schwierige Linsenstrukturen, das bei<br />
auftretendem Druck trotzdem eine bruchfeste Struktur aufweist. Die Herstellung<br />
erfolgt mittels einer sog. “Einspritzmethode”, die gegen Zerkratzen schützt.<br />

EN The Thrama® system is based on the fundamental concept of<br />
transmittance, that is on light selection filtering techniques aimed at<br />
drastically reducing visual “noise” (diffused light) and intensifying the<br />
“signal” in order to optimize visual information.<br />
It can filter the first three primary colors in the visible light spectrum (bluegreen-red,<br />
wave-length of 400 to 700 mm) in different percentages, thus<br />
increasing the chromatic contrast and optimizing the image perception in<br />
the fundamental visual receptors present in the central retina. Furthermore,<br />
it ensures total protection from UV rays thanks to special additives that can<br />
neutralize UVA and UVB rays up to the threshold of visibility (400 mm).<br />
