Kneissl In that particular – wer wir sind moment, when you start doing what you always
wanted to do, a whole new life begins.
We work and live for Kneissl because we
believe that the highest technical performance
and the affection for nature should not contradict
each other. Our responsibility in interacting with
nature and our fellow human beings, as well as
our values and attitude, have to be reflected in
our materials and our craftsmanship.
ogically and single-mindedly we aim to fulfil our
passion to create and improve unique products.
In this way, we are making our contribution to
a community of enthusiasts and individuals -
an alternative to „Mainstream“ in the sportarticle-industry.
We are confident that wood is
livelier than Polyurethane (PU) and we prefer
cashmere to synthetic materials besides, who
wants plastic? Not us and not our customers.
Natural materials, like wood, are highly
functional and they inspire us with their
characteristics day by day. That’s why we
only build skis with woodcore and use for our
clothing as many natural materials as possible
for an increase in performance.
The interconnectivity of man, nature, highest
quality standards in technique and “Productperformance”
with pure design and the fire of

This interface liberates the ski from disturbing
vibrations. As a result you get a smooth and stable ski
on the slope.
Polymer dampening between edges and belts
prevents from vibrations from tip to tail and absorbs
the hittings on the edge.

Skis with integrated Glide technology combine the advantages of shorter and longer
skis – perfect turn ability at the initial phase of a turn meets highest smoothness on
the track. As a result the skier attains extraordinary curve control, perfect running
stability, ideal track control as well as an excellent edge grip, always riding with the
highest possible safety. No more edging in or oversteering. Glide technology means
increased safety. We offer this technology on our models Black Star XC and Blue Star
AC as an option.

SIRIUS PROJECT
Imagine what our technicians could do if they
were not limited by financial resources or time.
That’s why the Kneissl “Sirius project” was
created. In cooperation with external specialists
and institutions, neither the ideas nor the
developments are limited regarding costs, time
or effort – afterwards, it will be decided what is
implemented into the regular production, and
what isn’t.
The ultimate goal is as easy as this: every user
of our products should get the most and best
out of it. This can only be achieved by constantly
pushing the edges of technical and material
feasibility. Our device is simple: how can
an already good product be improved? Hereby
we put the focus on performance, safety, indivuality,
design and comfort.
The first prototype from the “Sirius project” is a
new ski. It was developed and tested by a team
including the former Swedish worldcup-skier
Frederik Nyberg. Under the name “Sirius” this
model is only available in a limited number in
selected retail shops.
