LAMER, Germaine (Fournier). 1913 - 2004. In Montreal on December 2, 2004, passed<br />

away at the age of ninety-one years. Germaine leaves to mourn her two sons, Michel (Doreen<br />

McRae), Jacques (Pierrette <strong>Proulx</strong>), her grandchildren Julie, Sophie, Philippe, Roland, Stephane,<br />

Eric, Marc and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as, nephews and nieces, relatives and<br />

friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300,<br />

boul. Pie-IX (corner Fleury), Montreal North. Funeral will take place on Saturday, December 4, at<br />

2 p.m. in St-Vincent Marie Strambi Church, 10815 Armand Lavergne, Montreal North. Visiting<br />

hours Saturday from 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sainte-Justine Hospital<br />

Foundation. The Montreal Gazette.<br />

<strong>Proulx</strong> (Gutzke) Evelyn D. (nee Schmitt), age 84 of Mounds View, passed away December<br />

15, 2004. Proceeded in death by husbands, Louis <strong>Proulx</strong> and Arnold Gutzke; son, Dennis Gutzke;<br />

mother, Rachel Schmitt; brother, Tacker Schmitt; and sister, Mildred Henrickson. Survived by<br />

children, Richard (Pat Swanson,) Gutzke, Kenneth (Sandi) Gutzke, Diane Houle, Betty<br />

VanRyswyk, Julia (Jim) Josephson, and Marly (Pat) Beske; daughter-in-law, Linda Gutzke;<br />

grandchildren, Steve, Kevin, Dan, Scott, Rachel, Jon, Cheryl, and Karen; 5 great-grandchildren;<br />

brother, Donald Schmitt; sister-in-law, Lee Schmitt; special friend, Martin Rider; other relatives<br />

and friends. Evelyn was a loving and caring person who cherished her family. The love of God<br />

could be seen shining from her soul and that is how she will always be remembered. She will be<br />

missed by all. Funeral service 10:30 AM Saturday, Dec. 18th, at Sunrise United Methodist Church,<br />

7687 Long Lake Rd., Mounds View. Visitation in church Saturday one hour prior to service.<br />

Private interment. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. Miller Funeral Home Fridley Chapel.<br />

Dorothy Agnus Kane<br />

THOMPSON _ Dorothy Agnus (nee Kane) Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia 1924, the<br />

thirteenth of twenty-one children, to John and Agnus Kane. Dorothy Thompson, of Ottawa, died<br />

peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with cancer, Sunday, December 26, 2004. She is<br />

predeceased by seventeen of her siblings and by her husbands, Kenneth Thompson, Roland <strong>Proulx</strong><br />

and Haakon Wick. Dorothy will long be remembered by her remaining siblings, Joyce, Veronica,<br />

Bernice and David; and by her daughters, Doretta Anastasia Thompson (Henry) and Janet Marie<br />

Thompson; as well as her five loving grandchildren, Caroline and James Henry of Toronto and<br />

Graeme, Patrick and John Maitland of Calgary. Funeral Services private. In lieu of flowers,<br />

donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Godspeed.<br />
