LAMER, Germaine (Fournier). 1913 - 2004. In Montreal on December 2, 2004, passed
away at the age of ninety-one years. Germaine leaves to mourn her two sons, Michel (Doreen
McRae), Jacques (Pierrette Proulx), her grandchildren Julie, Sophie, Philippe, Roland, Stephane,
Eric, Marc and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as, nephews and nieces, relatives and
friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300,
boul. Pie-IX (corner Fleury), Montreal North. Funeral will take place on Saturday, December 4, at
2 p.m. in St-Vincent Marie Strambi Church, 10815 Armand Lavergne, Montreal North. Visiting
hours Saturday from 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sainte-Justine Hospital

Proulx (Gutzke) Evelyn D. (nee Schmitt), age 84 of Mounds View, passed away December
15, 2004. Proceeded in death by husbands, Louis Proulx and Arnold Gutzke; son, Dennis Gutzke;
mother, Rachel Schmitt; brother, Tacker Schmitt; and sister, Mildred Henrickson. Survived by
children, Richard (Pat Swanson,) Gutzke, Kenneth (Sandi) Gutzke, Diane Houle, Betty
VanRyswyk, Julia (Jim) Josephson, and Marly (Pat) Beske; daughter-in-law, Linda Gutzke;
grandchildren, Steve, Kevin, Dan, Scott, Rachel, Jon, Cheryl, and Karen; 5 great-grandchildren;
brother, Donald Schmitt; sister-in-law, Lee Schmitt; special friend, Martin Rider; other relatives
and friends. Evelyn was a loving and caring person who cherished her family. The love of God
could be seen shining from her soul and that is how she will always be remembered. She will be
missed by all. Funeral service 10:30 AM Saturday, Dec. 18th, at Sunrise United Methodist Church,
7687 Long Lake Rd., Mounds View. Visitation in church Saturday one hour prior to service.
Private interment. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. Miller Funeral Home Fridley Chapel.

Dorothy Agnus Kane

THOMPSON _ Dorothy Agnus (nee Kane) Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia 1924, the
thirteenth of twenty-one children, to John and Agnus Kane. Dorothy Thompson, of Ottawa, died
peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with cancer, Sunday, December 26, 2004. She is
predeceased by seventeen of her siblings and by her husbands, Kenneth Thompson, Roland Proulx
and Haakon Wick. Dorothy will long be remembered by her remaining siblings, Joyce, Veronica,
Bernice and David; and by her daughters, Doretta Anastasia Thompson (Henry) and Janet Marie
Thompson; as well as her five loving grandchildren, Caroline and James Henry of Toronto and
Graeme, Patrick and John Maitland of Calgary. Funeral Services private. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Godspeed.
