CURRICULUM VITAE – Dr. ANDRÉ PHANEUF<br />
Dr. André Phaneuf holds a degree in Dentistry (DMD) from the Université de Montréal (1974)<br />
and a degree in Law (LLM) from the Université de Sherbrooke (1995) and is a Fellow of the<br />
American College of Dentists (2009). He will shortly be completing a Master’s degree in bioethics<br />
(MA) from the Université de Montréal. He was in private practice from 1974 to 2000 and since<br />
then has been the Clinic Director at the Université de Montréal Faculty of Dentistry and Lecturer<br />
at the undergra<strong>du</strong>ate and gra<strong>du</strong>ate levels. Dr. Phaneuf has served as a member of the Committee<br />
on Discipline (1988-1995) and Chair of the Review Committee (1995-2004) of the <strong>Ordre</strong> <strong>des</strong><br />
<strong>dentistes</strong> <strong>du</strong> québec (ODq). He is the Chief Examiner for the ODq equivalence examination, and a member of<br />
the école polytechnique de Montréal Research Ethics Committee and the ODq Ethics Committee. He serves as an<br />
expert consultant for various bodies.<br />
CURRICULUM VITAE – Dr. NATHALIE MORIN<br />
After earning her degree in Dentistry (DMD) from the Université de Montréal in 1990,<br />
Dr. nathalie Morin practised general dentistry with the Canadian Forces and in private practice.<br />
She completed a speciality program in public dental health between 2002 and 2004, at the<br />
national institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in bethesda, Maryland. When she returned<br />
to Canada, she continued to practise general dentistry and was closely involved in <strong>des</strong>igning and<br />
implementing the cross-Canada electronic dental file system for the Canadian Forces. in 2008<br />
she was appointed Assistant Director of Professional Services with the <strong>Ordre</strong> <strong>des</strong> <strong>dentistes</strong> <strong>du</strong><br />
québec and, since October 2009, has been Director of Professional Services. She also works at the Mcgill University<br />
Faculty of Dentistry as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the field of dental cariology.<br />
CURRICULUM VITAE – Dr. YVES AYOTTE<br />
Dr. Yves Ayotte earned his degree in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Université de Montréal in<br />
1970. He practised with the Canadian Forces until 1998. in his 25 years of clinical practice he<br />
was involved in almost every aspect of dentistry, including restoration of osteointegrated implants.<br />
At the same time, he was involved in managing clinics and dental units, and in managing<br />
programs, for over 20 years. While working with the Canadian Forces, he took part in many<br />
training sessions on professional practice, management and administration. At the time of his<br />
retirement in 1998, he commanded the First Dental Unit, comprising all dental services for<br />
troops garrisoned in Canada.<br />
He was then appointed Director of Professional Services with the First nations and inuit Health branch of<br />
Health Canada, before applying for the position of Director of Professional Services with the <strong>Ordre</strong> <strong>des</strong> <strong>dentistes</strong><br />
<strong>du</strong> québec in April 2005. Dr. Ayotte was then closely involved in managing the professional inspection process,<br />
before Dr. nathalie Morin took over his position in October 2009.<br />
