Day 3 - MONDAy (BL)<br />
Istanbul<br />
After breakfast, you will begin to explore Istanbul:<br />
Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman<br />
sultans b<strong>et</strong>ween the end of the 15th and the first<br />
half of the 19th centuries. Lunch and visit the<br />
Blue Mosque, recognizable from its six minar<strong>et</strong>s,<br />
and the Hippodrome where political, cultural,<br />
and sports activities took place during Roman,<br />
Byzantine, and Ottoman times. At the end of the<br />
day free time at the historical Grand Bazaar. You<br />
will be free for the dinner. Overnight at hotel.<br />

Day 4 - TUESDAy (BLD)<br />
Istanbul - Bolu 160miles<br />
In the morning, we will realize a visit the Haghia<br />
Sophia which marked the apogee of Byzantine<br />
Emperor Justinian’s reign. Then possibility of<br />
cruise on the Bosporus (optional) that separates<br />
Asia from Europe and connects the Marmara Sea<br />
to the Black Sea. Lunch at a fish restaurant along<br />
the Bosphorus. In the afternoon, we will drive to<br />
Bolu. Dinner and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 5 - WEDNESDAy (BLD) 290miles<br />
Bolu - Ankara - Cappadocia<br />
Early in the morning, we will drive to Ankara, the<br />
Turkish capital since 1923. Visit The Museum<br />
of Anatolian Civilizations for its rich and unique<br />
collections from the Hittites and the others who<br />
went over this soil. A brief stop for taking pictures<br />
at the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the father of<br />
modern Turkey. After lunch, continue to Cappadocia.<br />
We will have dinner and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 6 - THURSDAy (BLD) 30miles<br />
Cappadocia<br />
A full day tour to explore Cappadocia. Visit the<br />
Goreme Valley, an open-air museum with rockcut<br />
churches (7th-13th centuries) adorned with<br />
biblical frescoes. Learn about the art and crafts<br />
of rural Turkey at a handicraft center, and<br />
attend a lecture on Turkish hand-made<br />
rugs. Next is the Underground City. We<br />
will drive back to the hotel. Lunch during<br />
the visits. We will have dinner and overnight<br />
at hotel.<br />
Day 7 - fRIDAy (BLD) 120miles<br />
Cappadocia<br />
In the morning, depart to Soganli Valley<br />
to visit its rock-cut churches. Barbecue<br />
lunch in Soganli. In the afternoon visit the<br />
Avcilar Valley and the Kiliçlar Valley with<br />
their old cave-dwellings and fairy chimneys.<br />
Photo stops at Uchisar and Pigeon<br />
Valley, best vista points on the way to the<br />
hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 8 - SATURDAy (BLD) 330miles<br />
Cappadocia - Konya/Antalya<br />
After breakfast, we will drive to Konya. En<br />
route, stop at the Sultanhan Caravanserai<br />
- a hotel for merchants during the Seljuk<br />
period - 13th century. In Konya, visit the<br />
Museum of Mevlana, the famous mystic<br />
po<strong>et</strong>, and founder of the Sufi Order of the<br />
Whirling Dervishes. After lunch, we will<br />
continue to Antalya. We will have dinner<br />
and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 9 - SUNDAy (BLD) 55miles<br />
Antalya<br />
Today, two magnificent Roman sites are<br />
on our agenda; Aspendos with the best<br />
preserved Roman Theater and Perge, a<br />
spectacular Greco-Roman city. On the<br />
r<strong>et</strong>urn to Antalya, discover the tradition of<br />
jewellery making on this soil while visiting<br />
one of the largest jewelers of Turkey.<br />
Later in the afternoon, we will visit Old<br />
Antalya - Kaleici will be visited to enjoy<br />
strolling through picturesque stre<strong>et</strong>s of<br />
the old port. Lunch during the visits. Dinner<br />
and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 10 - MONDAy (BLD) 210miles<br />
Antalya - Sagalassos - Pamukkale<br />
Leaving Antalya behind, cross the Taurus<br />
Mountains, to Sagalassos - Greco-Roman<br />
city, a recently excavated archeological gem<br />
of Turkey. Following lunch, drive to Pamukkale.<br />
Dinner and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 11 - TUESDAy (BLD) 145miles<br />
Pamukkale - Selçuk<br />
In the morning, visit Pamukkale the «Cotton<br />
Castle», an antique spa, Hierapolis-still in<br />
use today, with the white water terraces of<br />
limestone deposits by the thermal waters<br />
through the ages -an unreal landscape. The<br />
necropolis -the antique cem<strong>et</strong>ery- here, is<br />
one of the largest to our day from the ancient<br />
world. After lunch, drive to Aphrodisias,<br />
the ancient site dedicated to Aphrodite,<br />
the god<strong>des</strong>s of Beauty, Love and Fertility,<br />
also famous for its school of sculpture. The<br />
stadium is the best preserved one in Anatolia.<br />
Other sights include the Temple of Aphrodite,<br />
the T<strong>et</strong>rapylon and the Theatre. Continue to<br />
Selçuk. We will have dinner and overnight at<br />
hotel.<br />
Day 12 - WEDNESDAy (BLD)<br />
Ephesus<br />
After breakfast, discovery of another World<br />
Heritage; Ephesus. The site today is one<br />
of the best places of the world to visualize<br />
an ancient Roman city. Stop for a shot<br />
at the remains of the Temple of Artemis<br />
- which was one of the Seven Wonders of<br />
the Ancient World. After lunch, visit also<br />
Ephesus Museum where you will discover<br />
statues of Artemis. You will end the day by<br />
a mini fashion-show which l<strong>et</strong> you appreciate<br />
leather production in Turkey. Dinner and<br />
overnight at hotel.<br />

Day 13 - THURSDAy (BLD) 260miles<br />
Selçuk - Pergamum -<br />
Çanakkale<br />
In the morning, depart for Pergamum,<br />
the capital of the Attalid dynasty. Visit this<br />
ancient city where parchment was invented.<br />
Highlights include the Acropolis with the<br />
ruins of the agoras, temples, palaces, the<br />
library which contained 200,000 volumes, the<br />
podium on which stood the Zeus Altar and<br />
the impressive theatre built into the steep<br />
hillside which provi<strong>des</strong> a wonderful panorama<br />
of the surroundings. In the lower part of<br />
the ancient city, visit the Asclepion, a sanctuary<br />
and a healing center dedicated to the<br />
god of healing, Asclepius. Lunch and drive to<br />
explore the ancient city of Troy whose history<br />
covers a period of about 3,400 years with<br />
nine layers of s<strong>et</strong>tlements Continuation to<br />
Çanakkale. Dinner and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 14 - fRIDAy (BLD) 210miles<br />
Çanakkale - Istanbul<br />
In the morning, we will cross the Strait of<br />
the Dardanelles by ferry to Gallipoli where<br />
the dramatic battles of WWI took place. Brief<br />
visit of the battlefields. We will continue to<br />
Istanbul. Lunch on the way. We will have dinner<br />
and overnight at hotel.<br />
Day 15 - SATURDAy (B)<br />
