C'est avec beaucoup <strong>de</strong> tristesse que nous venons d'apprendre la disparition <strong>de</strong> <strong>Patrick</strong> <strong>Veyssière</strong>, samedi <strong>de</strong>rnier<br />
10 avril.<br />
<strong>Patrick</strong> <strong>Veyssière</strong> était Directeur <strong>de</strong> Recherche 1ère classe au CNRS. Il a créé le LEM, laboratoire d'étu<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>s<br />
microstructures, unité mixte CNRS-ONERA, en 1988, puis l'a dirigé pendant 12 ans. Nous lui sommes aujourd'hui<br />
re<strong>de</strong>vable <strong>de</strong> son positionnement dans la communauté scientifique internationale. C'était un scientifique profond, <strong>de</strong><br />
la trempe <strong>de</strong> ceux qui laissent une trace. Il a travaillé jusqu'au bout, et son courage face à la maladie forçait le<br />
respect. Ses travaux continueront à faire référence dans la vaste communauté internationale <strong>de</strong> la plasticité.<br />
La Société Française <strong>de</strong>s microscopies présente ses plus sincères condoléances à sa famille.<br />
