Voici quelquesmots pour mieux me connaître. I’ve also always been areally energetic and active person. I’vebeen on multiple sports teams, from volleyballin high school to basketball atMcGill with some law girls, and I try tokeep as healthy a lifestyle as I can in law school. Finally, I love talkingto people, and getting to know everyone around the Faculty.Out of all this comes out my motivation in being in the LSA: givingyou the possibilities to have an amazing time here at the faculty, for both your mental and physical health. It is a personalgoal for me to have a balance between the academic, cultural, social, and health aspects of life, and I wish to help you find yourbalance too. I n t e r n a lI’m GrahamSplawski, andas one of yourco-VPs Internal,my job isto bringMcGill’s lawstudents a social calendar that reflects ourcommunity’s diversity, talent, and interests. My job is also to advocate for all students’interests relating to life at the Faculty, where most of usspend so much of our time. This year, my goals are to facilitatenetworking in social and professional contexts; to promote discussionon the issues that matter most to students; and to organizeLSA events that generate excitement and that are generallyawesome.
V P P u b l i c R e l a t i o n sÉLOISEGAGNÉBonjour à tous! On my first day visiting the McGill Faculty of Law, I knew rightaway that I wanted to start my university studies there. I lovedthe atmosphere and wanted to be part of that community. Nowafter a year at the Faculty, I still feel the same enthusiasm andwanted to share it with my colleagues, which is why I joined theLSA.C’est donc avec grand plaisir et enthousiasme que je relève lesnombreux défis qui sont rattachés au poste de Vice Présidenteaux Relations Publiques pour l’année 2011-2012. Might it be through the tenure of Coffee Houses, conferences orany sponsored events put into place by the LSA, I hope that allthese initiatives will remain memorable occasions for you to getto know what is out there, in the legal world. I hope as well thatthe sponsorship I can bring to the Faculty will help you fulfill yourneeds and desires as students. Please do not hesitate to share your questions, panic attack momentsor any other comments with me. I will be more thanhappy to hear what you have to say!Au plaisir de travailler pour vous cette année,I wish you all an amazing school year!CONGRATULATIONS, MONTANO!The Quid congratulates Montano Cabezas, 2L, for obtaining hisDoctorate in Piano Performance at the Université de Montréal.His recital at Salle Claude-Champagne, last Saturday evening, was an unforgettable display of true talent.Congratulations, Montano!QN • SEPTEMBER 13 2011 • 15
