WARNINGThe cover of this product is vapour permeable, but not airpermeable and may present a suffocation risk. It is theresponsibility of the care giver to ensure that the user can use thisproduct safely.2. Position the cushion on the chair, with the coverlabel facing upward and toward the front edge ofthe seat. Ensure the pressure-release valve isaccessible.Always use the cushion in the correct orientation.3. Inflate the cushion by hand by repeatedly pressingdown on the integral pump until the cushion feelsfirm.4. Patients/Users should then sit on the cushion.If using in a wheelchair, ensure the cushion is wellsupported and that foot plates and arm rests aresuitably adjusted.5. Depress the top of the pressure-release valve torelease the air, until it stops hissing. The pressurereleasevalve works by allowing air to escape to apre-set pressure. If the intended purpose of thecushion is for comfort, release the air from thecushion until it is comfortable for the individualuser.WARNINGIt is important to ensure that the cushion is correctly inflated andthat the patient/user does not ‘bottom out’ (i.e. remains supportedby the cushion at all times and not resting on the seat surfaceunderneath).2
