Compte-rendu <strong>de</strong> l’Assemblée Générale - 14 octobre 2010The Presi<strong>de</strong>nt welcomes new parents of the French School.14 octobre 2010 ExtraitsThe Presi<strong>de</strong>nt thanks his team members as well as the employees of the French School and the volunteers for their <strong>de</strong>dicationand contribution towards the school during his 2 year engagement as Presi<strong>de</strong>nt of the French School. Significantachievements have been done during the past two years. Some of them have been launched by the preceeding teamand some others will be consolidated by the team which will be elected at the end of this general meeting. During thepast two years, the Presi<strong>de</strong>nt has noticed the strong engagement of families for a harmonious <strong>de</strong>velopment of theFrench School and its influence on the French community. He then wishes all the best to his successor and the newteam.The Presi<strong>de</strong>nt introduces the members of the Executive Committee:- Yves Marcel, Supervisor or legal representative of the French School by the Singaporean government,- Olivier Leroy, General Secretary,- Philippe Sirgant, Treasurer,- Nathalie Launay, Parents Committee,- Corrine Petit, Transport Committee- Domitille Regottaz, School Restaurant Committee- Jean-Marc Deromedi, Extension and Works Committee- Laurent Ducourneau, Sports Committee- Christian Koenig, Career Information Committee- Pierre-Alexandre Vigil, Corporate Committee- Olivier Guibert, Security CommitteeThe Presi<strong>de</strong>nt reminds that the challenge for the past aca<strong>de</strong>mic year was to finalize the extension of the French Schooland to prepare the start of the aca<strong>de</strong>mic year 2010-2011 with the return of approximately 600 stu<strong>de</strong>nts from the site ofSerangoon and the continuous increase of the number of stu<strong>de</strong>nts.The aca<strong>de</strong>mic year 2011-2012 will also be very challenging to continue to welcome stu<strong>de</strong>nts while maintaining thehigh standard of the education provi<strong>de</strong>d at the French School. The extension is just finalized. However the ExecutiveCommittee is in discussions with Singaporean Authorities to prepare the future (renewal of the lease of the AMK campusexpiring in 2023, additional extension possibilities in Singapore). A status on these discussions will be presented atthe next general meeting.The Presi<strong>de</strong>nt then thanks the members of the Management Committee and Executive Committee for their engagement,professionalism and <strong>de</strong>dication towards the French School. He thanks in particular Mr Yves Marcel, Supervisor, whowill leave the Executive Committee in October. He also thanks Mr Sucur, Principal, the educational and administrativeteams for the outstanding work performed on a daily basis. He then thanks in particular Mme Sophie Jancourt, ChiefOperating Officer.The Presi<strong>de</strong>nt welcomes the new Vice-Principal, Mr Xavier Jacquenet, who joined the French School in September. Hewishes success in his educational projects for the French School.The Presi<strong>de</strong>nt also welcomes Mr Olivier Caron, French Ambassador of Singapore and Mr Marc Piton, Cultural Councellorof the French Embassy.
