These <strong>de</strong>scriptions are for <strong>Windows</strong> 7 and for supported<br />
mo<strong>de</strong>ls only.<br />
If you are using the system very often while on the move, use Fast<br />
Start to reduce the booting time.<br />
When the <strong>Samsung</strong> Fast Start function is being used, the<br />
computer runs in hybrid power-saving mo<strong>de</strong> when the computer<br />
enters standby mo<strong>de</strong> or hibernation mo<strong>de</strong>.<br />
Using Fast Start<br />

Runs <strong>Samsung</strong> Fast Start.<br />
Select ON or OFF <strong>de</strong>pending on your requirements, and click<br />
OK.<br />

The Fast Start function will be turned on or off according to<br />
your selection.<br />
While the Fast Start function is enabled<br />
• You cannot change some power options in the Control<br />
Panel. To change these, first disable the Fast Start function.<br />
• The existing power saving mo<strong>de</strong> and maximum power<br />
saving mo<strong>de</strong> functions have been replaced by this<br />
function.<br />
• Battery and AC power should be removed before you open<br />
memory door to change or add memory.<br />
The LCD may flicker once if the Fast Start function is turned<br />
ON or OFF.<br />
What is hybrid power-saving mo<strong>de</strong>?<br />
In hybrid saving mo<strong>de</strong>, the data you are working on will be<br />
saved to memory and the HDD, in the event of a sud<strong>de</strong>n<br />
power failure, ensuring the safety of your data.<br />
However, as unexpected acci<strong>de</strong>nts can always occur, it is<br />
recommen<strong>de</strong>d backing up any important data beforehand.
